Vellfire, I was not specifically talking about you, I understand that this stuff pisses you off and you have every right to not tolerate it. This is just like, what, the third topic where we've had a sexism vs. feminism fight? didnt read the thread and im just kind of bemused by the popularity of yet another poorly written book (also its kind of awk when they are talking about "HOW SHADES OF GREY HELPED ME DO **** ** **** W MY HUSBAND FOR FIRST TIME IN 30 YRS" on daytime television and my grandma is in the room and aa aaaaa) but

if it makes anyone feel better, probably (hopefully ((well...(ugh fcuk humanity))) most of the women who enjoy reading this sort of thing would not actually want to be in the situation of the main character/would be disturbed by it "IRL".......idk how to put it, but i mean everyone likes playing call of duty and imagining being hero from time to time but how many people enjoy being an infantryman. or being a knight and having to pee in a ditch while an orc is creeping up to badtouch you. moreover, how many people get into what they previously believed would be their dream job/situation/etc and actually have their fantasies come true? (answer: like 0)

"be careful what you wish for" is a trite saying for a reason.......generally people dont want what they think they want. or what they want is actually horrible IRL and that often what they think is affection/"love"" is really a result of how they were treated as children and mistook for love because they didnt have anything else. and they thankfully realize that and keep it in their dreams

fantasies like final fantasy gets the latest video game tech to play a game about a world without/before much tech at all, probably no modern conveniences like toilets use chamber pots instead
