Being a BIG Kirby fan Dedede was actually one of my most wish for characters but then they annouced MetaKnight & I sorta just forgot about him. I was just talking to someone last week about how if you compare it to other fighting games they already have well over enough characters but it seems that they're still adding more. At this point I don't have any idea what other characters they'll add (although I'm still hopeing for Captain Falcon & Ganondorf's return)

I can't even fathom how many characters there will be if it keeps up at this rate until February. It's about a new character every two weeks. That's not including returning veterans.

Actually, I guess that's only six more. That's a lot, but it's not insane.

EDIT: So when do we start the obligatory discussion of the correct pronunciation of King Dedede's name? I think it's something like daydayday but closer to dehdehdeh. I remember some Kirby puzzle game years ago where it was pronounced that way.

Even if that's only six more, Sakurai said he wouldn't show all of the characters on the Dojo right away. So that means we're getting at least 27 characters before the game comes out not including whoever will be announced after February 10.

I'm pretty happy with the roster; I wouldn't be terribly disappointed if there weren't anymore new characters. Melee introduced 8 new characters and 5 clones. Brawl has introduced 11 new characters and none of them are clones (except maybe Lucas - jury's still out on that).

But don't get me wrong, I certainly hope there are more new characters.

Ha! I'm real glad he's in the game! At first I didn't doubt his appearance, but later I started thinking that maybe he'd become a boss. Good thing I was wrong.

By the way, I think Dedede is pronounced "dehdehdeh".

Not necessarily. In Melee, Jigglypuff and Bowser become Purin and Koopa if you change the language to japanese, so there may be a different pronunciation for the English announcer. But, we'll see...

I have no idea who this guy is but he looks pretty retarded. Very indifferent about him. Actually to be honest there hasn't been a single new character confirmed that has spun my wheels. I still want to play this game though.

I never really played any Kirby games, so I have no idea who Dedede is, but he looks interesting. I can't wait to see how he moves and plays.

I really wish he would announce Luigi, Captain Falcon and Jigglypuff already, if only to dispel all the speculation about if they'll be in the game (I would bet money that they will be.)
