King Dedede uses a hammer, can suck in things and spit them out like Kirby, and can float like Kirby by sucking in air.

also ive got a friend who ive been arguing with: which'll be better Halo 3 or Brawl? after this update he admitted brawl so goddamn awesome

hes bigger than i expected but i just really know him from Crystal Shards
i hope he's awesome

also also they have a lot of kirby characters (3) and mario (5 with luigi) and zelda has 2 or 3 with ganondorf/sheik and DK has 2 but all the others have only 1 (also pokemon with 3/6 (im counting jiggly but not mewtwo))
i know that those are like the staples of nintendo gaming history but 5 mario characters is a little ridiculous
not to say i dont love them all

Name changes are different than pronouncing names. Bowser is Koopa in Japan but DeDeDe is DeDeDe in Japan. It's dehdehdeh, don't listen to what those fags at 4Kids have dubbed.

Anyway, DeDeDe was one of my most wanted 1st party additions. Really glad he's in! As a Kirby fan my head exploded. The other characters I really really want are (1st party) Ridley, Ganondorf, MewTwo (updated aka un-nerfed) and Luigi. Captain Falcon is an obvious addition so I'm not really worried about him not making it.

And Jester, this is for you.

Also I want to express my happiness of DeDeDe being included one last time...

They said no one bigger than Bowser, I believe. So... Unless they do some major size reformatting, Ridley's probably out. I would love to play as him, though.

Like I said earlier, Viewtiful Joe would be an awesome 3rd-party addition.

Yeah not bigger than Bowser but AS BIG AS Bowser, maybe a bit smaller. Sakurai also mentioned that he wants to put in more Metroid reps and that's a very clear refrence to Ridley. Besides, Metroid is not as popular in Japan as it is in America, yet Ridley became the second most wanted character after DeDeDe or something like that. But I know he was the second most wanted.

For 3rd party additions, I'd love to see both Simon and Mega Man...then this game would really be the battle of the classics, and be 100% perfect. For Mega Man, I'd more like to see X instead of the original since X is cooler and has that awesome armor. Besides I really love the X games and X4 is my all time favorite in the whole series. And as many of you know, I'm a Castlevania fanatic so if Simon is in I will die and explode inside and outside from happiness. Especially if he is in his Chronicles outfit.

I'm already very happy and even if they released the game with pretty much only what they've shown, I'd still think it's the greatest game ever. Pretty much anything now is more icing on the huge cake (like... very huge... I can already see myself contently playing this game 5 years from now).

EDIT: Also can we go a page without a mention of Megaman unless something official is confirmed, yes?

Well look at the Mario games. Bowser is a little bit bigger than Mario in SMB1 but Godzilla huge in Sunshine (even though it was a fake but still). Also if you look at Bowser in the Sonic trailer he's pretty huge so I think they can make Ridley as big as Bowser or just one centimetre shorter, but his wings and his physique would make you think he's much larger since you know, he is more wide-spread than Bowser is. Just saying too. :P

Simon would be definitely awesome. I can imagine the Chronicles Simon in great detail with Theme of Simon playing...kicking everyone's ass (as if it's an introduction movie). I cream my pants whenever I think of it.

Well if it's general discussion it's fine. As long as there's no 'megaman tomorrow lol' or something retarded like that.

Also no yeah totally. This game is amazing. Truthfully, i'm wishing that they take out the clones and such. Falco, the Docta, Ganondorf, etc. The Captain will obviously be in this, and Jigglypuff is probably gonna be, so i'm hoping Mewtwo will be out. Technically it'd only be 4 Pokemon characters but really it'd be like 7. They should bring back some oldies around Pit's era, like

Y'know when you think about it besides Samus & the respective last boss of each game (Mother Brain, Prime, Metroid Queen etc) Metroid doesn't have alot of characters. So unless they're gonna add one of those lame hunters from MPH or MP3 I can't really see them adding anyone else from the Metroid universe besides Ridley. The only other option is I dunno a Space Pirate or something like that but at this rate sooner or later Metroid will be the only game series featured in Smash with only 1 character representing it.

EDIT: Heh I dunno what made me think of this since it has nothing to do with Metroid but it'd be kinda cool if in the Subspace Embassy you fought Giygas & he said that creepy stuff he says in the final battle of Earthbound... only now with spoken dialogue.
The chances of this happening are probably zero... & I'm not so sure how "cool" this would be after I actually witness it.
