The whole select your stage music's chance was an excellent way to do it, and three updates? Wow.

Well, thank god there was three updates, but this is a really boring week.

I also find it depressing that this is the only topic I come to view in the VG forum.

I know it's been said about other tracks, but the Pokemon Stadium track sounds WAY too slow to battle to. Oh well, I like what they did with the ending evolution music.

parents don't love me (litterally they told me)

Excellent idea with the whole music selection thing. Much better than Melee's. Three updates too!

My thoughts exactly. December 3rd can't come soon enough.

I'm going to take off work from December 3rd until about the 14th. Finals are around that time (plus, I can brawl if I finish studying early). Man...three more months....three more long months...

Pretty cool. The music selection is a cool idea, but the only time i'll probably use it is to make Kid Icarus' theme 100% all the time. The two songs are good, though.

Man, I love the SSBB main theme. Fucking epic.

I know it's been said about other tracks, but the Pokemon Stadium track sounds WAY too slow to battle to. Oh well, I like what they did with the ending evolution music.

Yeah, it sounds slow, but I bet it'll fit in fine when you play. There are some songs in Melee that sound slow as well but work fit during gameplay. I wouldn't be too worried about it. Even if it doesn't, you can still choose not to play it with their new feature, so no worries.

Holy fucking shit triple music update. Also I never knew Nobuo Uematsu composed the main theme...

Maybe Uematsu's involvement means a FF character/item/stage? He wasn't included on the original composer list though.

When Sakurai put up the list of composers, he said:

This is dangerous. It's a little risky.

A lot of people thought this meant that it could give people insight into which games characters, items, and stages would come from, which is why Sakurai was reluctant to put it up. Probably means nothing, but it'd be cool if it did.

They'd easily fit in more than some other third party characters would, Snake included. Probably not going to happen though.

I couldn't agree more.

If that were the case then we'd have a Chrono Trigger character, a character from one of the games Yuzo Koshiro worked on (Joe Musashi!) and etc. etc. Cool idea, but I don't know...as you said, probably means nothing, but it'd be cool if it did. ;o

Man, I like that the composers are doing multiple songs. I can't wait to hear Jun Fukuda's and Masafumi Takada's.

I don't know the composers well, but since the squarenix composer is involved, isnt there a better chance that Geno is in the game? After all Geno tied in Sakurai's poll with Diddy and Ike, so I wouldnt be surprised if Square's composer means a square character.

Urgh, people. The composers prove nothing. They're doing remixes of old songs. Uematsu oversaw the remixing of the main theme, for example. His involvement doesn't imply that there will be Final Fantasy characters.

I'm not saying to give up on your hopes of these characters, because I still hold out the same hopes in a lot of instances, but the musicians don't really work as evidence they'll be there.

Also, I'm pretty sure Super Mario RPG was handled by Yoko Shimomura. Who is indeed involved, but I don't think of her as "the squarenix composer."

You're probably right. Sakurai said he was doing one for certain and that he'd think about adding a second or a third, but that it wasn't a sure thing.

I do hope they toss in some other third party characters though. Sonic or Megaman would be pretty badass, but that's just a dream.

Haha, I love how the Animal Crossing characters in the background frown when Munchlax eats useful stuff. I wonder if that's all the time or was scripted for the screenshots.

Maybe they're just pro-casual gameplay. Like they feel so bad for purists or something like that. Or they hate Pokemans. :P

But jokes aside, I sort of didn't like it, but maybe because if feels so...lacking. Monday's usually the bitchiest day of the week in my book, so anything that will make my day at home would be good for me. Today's update didn't do it.
