Ordinarily I wouldn't doubt this, but in his post he's talking about footage of Silent Hill 5.  And nothing like that has been released anywhere else, not even TGS.   So, if he's telling the truth, I would sure like to see this footage.

EDIT:  Looks like I was wrong, there is Silent Hill 5 footage out.  Somehow I (and IGN) missed it.

DarkNecrid, you've always struck me as someone who knows his stuff when it comes to Smash. As a matter of fact, out of all of the people who post here, I believe you will be one of the best and I look forward to playing you in Brawl once it comes out.

Oh, and now that I think about it, this news boosts Sonic's chance of being in Brawl by an assload (an assload a real unit equal to 50%). Today has been such a good day for me. I got a perfect on my Management 340 midterm, my stock prices are soaring, and now this. Man...having a cool update tonight would make this the most amazing day ever (I'm easily satisfied).

Sweet, now I know of two Sonic supporters besides myself (you and RyanThunder). Oh, and I only bought my Wii for Brawl. Sure the other games are a nice addition, but if Nintendo only released Brawl and nothing else, I'd be happy.

Also, doesn't the Wii cost $250? I think that's how much I got mine for, but I might just be retarded since it's kinda late.

I'm sure l-cancelling will stay. They've kept it in both of the games, so it'll probably be the same in Brawl. WDing will most likely stay too, unless they happen to add a slight delay between jumping and airdodging, making it impossible to pull off low to the ground. I hope they don't take it out though. WDing is just way too fun in my opinion, aside from the advantages it offers. But yeah, if you can WD, L-cancel, and SHFFL in Melee, I'd love to play you in Brawl.

EDIT: Update is cool but unless you can turn off items + prevent certain stages from being picked itll be useless for competitive guys

Most competitive smashers don't use the built in tourney mode since it'd take too long to do a large tourney on one setup. Either way though, if you look at one of the screenshots, it shows and item switch and stage choice option. So it looks like the same thing from Melee. Cool update, but meh at the same time.
