Team Fortress Forever, a mod made by fans.

To my understanding, it was started before the initial announcement of TF2 because people craved a new Team fortress game. Unfortunately TF2 was "released" a few days before TFF thus, TF2 overshadows it. I feel kind of bad for the developers of TFF.

Seems like a nice mod, but I don't really believe it blows TF2 out of the water! I'll give it a try later though.

I'd also like to mention that I hate sentry guns so fucking much.

Sentry guns are extremely good if well placed, but like everything in this game (thankfully) they have weaknesses and are very very very easily overcome (uber heavy + uber soldier will take out 2-3 in seconds)

Yeah, sadly they're insane against my favourite class.

Also it's hard to consider something a counter if it needs an uber to do it, since that requires 2 characters, one of which has to have been alive for quite awhile.

Spies and demos are great at taking out sentries. Also scouts can take em out if you inch to the edge of a corner and expose a little bit of the sentry to your eyes and shoot it with your pistol. Pistol is actually quite effective in long range combat.

I guess I stated my comment wrong. Just because you get alot of kills with a class doesnt mean its too strong;(which is obviously what I accidently implied in my previous post) my valid argument is that his grenades have a large hitbox, its easy to hit with his grenades. You just need to aim slightly ahead of where the person will move and their dead meat... I heard people bitching about stickybombs too but I dont care lol. Nice heavy kills btw I never got that many XD.

Problem with spies is that they don't work very well against an organized team anyway.

Yeah, but having FF off makes it even harder for spies to operate.

On the other hand, beating a capture per round record of 3 is tough :(

Friendly fire is gay. I seriously never understand the point of having FF in games, not just TF2.

They removed the option? Its not like anyone played with that crap on anyway.

Also, why do you feel it's broken? Think demo men are too strong? Pyro's still useless?

Its sort of funny the things said in this thread, yet nobody explains the "why" of it.

Anyone look at the patch today? Demo men nerfed and pyro's were improved. Thoughts? I think it's very called for.

Well as you know I quite concur XD. Pyro is great now his long range can hit people. Although i think his flame is too strong now. He was great at ambushing people and getting real close to them when they didnt expect it but now people die too fast. :\ Just remove the damage increase and i think pyro is perfect.

I've noticed since the patch, a lot of people have been using the new and improved Pyro. He's really better now, before he was kind of weak compared to the potential of the other classes.

Yeah, but before people would just shoot the grenade launcher into the air and rack up massive kills / points with its impact explosion.
