So does HL2: Episode Two come out tomorrow? I'm going to be getting the Orange Box soon, which is a pretty awesome deal I think.
All of the games look so good, I'm not sure which one I'm going to play first once I get it.

My roommate just got Portal. I've been watching him play, and it looks pretty interesting. He's got as far as the sentry guns, I'll probably give it a shot when he beats it. The female background intercom voice in the background is HILARIOUS.

And has anyone noticed how fucking creepy those sentry guns are?

Portal is hard.

Trying to get the gold medal for least portals in 18 but I can't get below 17

I played through portal, not ADVANCED MISSIONS or whatever yet, it was really good.

My one complaint with it was that none of the puzzles were very hard at all. A few had me scratchin my head HOW DO I DO THIS but I was expecting it to have some real brain fucks. Hoping the advanced ones will be harder, prolly.

The game's real challenge comes from the advanced and challenge maps.

Finally got gold medals on all the Least Portal challenges though.

It's a critical shot, which does extra damage if it hits.  All weapons do it.

and how come none/very few (I think I saw Demo glow a few times) show like that.

The mechanics for getting critical hits hasn't really been figured out yet. For all we know its random, but there might be a condition to be fulfilled. Some classes give clues as to when you're going to get a critical hit; for example, the Pyro's flamethrower burns at the tip when he's in critical mode.

Went to Desert Bash, a large LAN event in Arizona yesterday, and competed in the 8v8 TF2 tournament.  Managed to win 10-0 ​.

I'm in love with TF2 and especially the engineer. Great game.

On the matter of critical shots, I've noticed as engineer I only ever get crits with pistol is when I hold down the shoot button from auto-shooting. For shotgun it seems to happen when I aim for the head of the target (seems to happen a lot when aiming at pyros' head too o.O)

Jesus, TF2 is amazing.

I just got it today and I'm loving it. I'm not that amazing at the game yet, but the classes are still just as good as they were in TF1.
HL2: EP2 is also great. I'm going to finish that up pretty quickly, since I heard it's very short.

Now I must try Portal.
