Since Jiggly and Ness have been "confirmed?". I think that they, along with Luigi and Capt. Falcon, will be unlockable just like in the first game. Also about the whole sticker thing at kotaku.com, The sticker that is selected is a pokemon, so why would only pokemon characters and Lucario be able to equip it? I think the Lucario face is indeed just the pokemon trainer. I am puzzled as to who the third character from the left is though (the dark one).

To be honest, I think these are really good fakes. I mean, if I somehow got brawl like this fellow i would post gameplay videos, the starting movie or something asweome like that!
Hopefully i'm wrong though

But about new character space, there really isn't anything to worry about. Remember in melee, there was only...6 greyed out spaces? (correct me if i'm wrong) and then there was room for a whole new row AND 4(?) more characters on the side

In reference to the character confirmation:
The second icon IS pokemon trainer. The third icon is Lucario. We know this because Lucario is the only pokemon besides it's pre-evolution to have that blue/black color scheme, and there's no way it's pre-evolution would even be considered.

Yeah, and it certainly is suspicious how the video stops before any real gameplay occurs. We'll just have to wait and see.

Well, in the Samurai Goroh update, you can see his symbol, so that might be a sign (also why would they announce Goroh as an assist first over Falcon. If Falcon would have been an assist, I'm sure he would have been announced before Goroh)

Also in the 5min how to play movie, you can see the Red Alloy guy pulling off some of Falcon's moves, kind of like the Male Wireframe from Melee.

Honestly I have to say these recent leaks and this supposed starting roster that looks very convincing have been much more interesting than the real updates. I keep on forgetting what today's was, heh.

And if this is the real starting roster, Its kind of dissapointing imo.
I was hoping for characters like DeDeDe and Olimar to be secret. They pretty much just threw all of the Kirby characters from the start. (Unless there is an other from the Kirby-verse worth including)
Also no Capt. Falcon. :^<

Captain Falcon is in. No doubt about it.

Also, I found this interesting. Smashboards is getting hammered. The Brawl section is getting it's ass kicked but the next highest forum has like...35 views.

Oh, I thought Lucario was someone else from the Mother series for some reason, and that people were confusing the Pokemon Trainer with him.

Jesus fricken' christ! This is huge. I agree with Strife about De De De and Olimar, but... What can you do! I think this game will have 35 characters, because Melee had less secret chars than starting, so... Also notice Sonic and Snake are secret!

I do feel sorry for the smashboards, they're getting an insane amount of traffic.

But it's pretty frustrating having to wait 5-10 minutes for a page to load.

So I'm guessing these stages were made with the stagebuilder. They look a little bland compared to Mario Bros.

The music is amazing, though not quite battle music.

I don't see how they're bland. It's old school Mario in a post-apocalyptic world. It's what they were going for.

And yeah, I agree with you about the music, though I'm sure it'll fit in during gameplay. This seems to be the case for a lot of the music they've shown.

Not necessarily. Just because they have the Mushroomy Kingdom doesn't mean the Mushroom Kingdom is back. If anything, I would think this hurts the chances of its return.

This stage looks really neat! I'm sure the scrolling will be a little annoying no matter how leisurly the pace is, but it's cool that they have both World 1-1 and 1-2. If only...they had them all...
