September 30th is the premiere, so you have a couple of weeks left.

this episode was okay. it was kind of boring and too familiar with more than a few clunky lines. i like this new prosecutor character though. i'll keep watching it, it could certainly still get good. it just felt a little like a stand alone episode of some procedural though.

First 2-3 episodes were a bit boring in all the seasons so far. Takes a little while for this series to pick up each year unfortunely. But when it does, holy shit.

this season seem really slow

i really like this season so far. slow or not i think that it's taking the series in a good direction. there are SO MANY WAYS that they could have fucked things up but they didn't. the whole im gonna have a baby thing is a PERFECT extension of the father "code of harry" storylines that made up major themes of the previous two seasons.

the tension with the prosecutor guy is very nice. yeah ti's a little bit slower than the series in the past, because at this point its a lot more character-based and there is less focus on COOL MURDERS but it's still totally well-written and i'm enjoying it a lot. i'm actually surprised that the series is still SO GOOD, usually they aren't able to KEEP IT UP like this.

oh man miguel prado is so fucking awesome. i really like this latest episode and where this stuff is going.

miguel figured out what dexter was doing and it was fucking FANTASTIC. this is the level of HOLY SHIT that made me love dexter for the first two seasons. everything is just so well-done that it's hard not to become totally addicted to this show. i'm liking this season just as much as i liked the first two. and the prado thing adds a lot of depth. at first he was annoying but this new twist really is stepping things up. especially since prado doesn't realize that dexter's a MURDERER. it's likely that prado thinks dexter first killed freebo and that he's the one who pushed exter to be a vigilante of sorts. god this is good shit.

the show has got micheal c hall going for it and that is it. maybe the soundtrack, too, but i can listen to that without having to put up with the stupidity and irrelevance of every single other character's storylines. i don't know if it was always this bad or if i'm just noticing it now, but seriously the writing is terrible the second you move away from dexter himself. and if the whole show could hang on that one character, then that'd be fine but about 60% of the episodes are taken up by these cardboard people who have problems which aren't interesting and don't even say anything. plus the way the entire police department works is so stupid and fake. i just don't buy any of this anymore. i'm gonna stop watching it!

Dexter is a role model. If I could kill people without feeling guilt I'd be like him.

The last episode wasn't bad, I think this series would have been much better if it had been dexter and miguel wrangling for evidence against each other from like episode 3 or something.

this season is fucking terrible. the show has never had a character that could be interesting when they weren't interacting with dexter, and when it was all micheal c. hall that was okay but i thought they would've learned by how dull and dumb those little extra plotlines were in season 2 they'd roll them back again for this year but nope like 20 minutes of each episode this season has been devoted to shit no-one cares about. i mean what the fuck was that intolerable IA agent about. quinn, masuka, angel and his new girlfriend, rita - who gives a shit. if these characters were ever good, and some of them were, like rita, they aren't now and i aggressively don't give a shit about any of them.

dexter himself hasn't even been that interesting. the first 5 or 6 episodes were about a bachelor with commitment issues who works at a police station. fantastic stuff. it's not even mildy amusing anymore, there's no humour left in this show besides masuka's hilarious vulgarity and even that has been weak by it's own standards. the patter is pure pish.


the storyline between him and miguel in the last couple of episodes has gotten interesting since we found out miguel has been lying to him a bit, and he's getting crazier with each episode. i'll watch till the end of this series just in case dexter decides to drop all the pretense and just chop everyone in his life into bitesize chunks, but i'm not watching the next series.

I don't think it was a ONE season show cause season 2 was quite good too. I can't say which was better because I watched both series in like a weed binge weekend so it's all merged together but I liked all the stuff with his brother so probably season 1

but yeah season 3 has been so dire. One thing I especially don't like apart from all the shit you talked about jamicus is that goddamn HAVEA CHAT WITH OBIWAN KENOBI GHOST DAD every time there's a friendship versus the code decision or anything like that. fuckin weak.

the last one was the worst one yet! but i'm only 1 hour away from having spent a half day on this season and that's something i want to be able to remind myself whenever i'm feeling down

As for the last episode, I thought it seemed a bit rushed. In the last 15 minutes, everything happened. Then the show ended. Oh well. Perhaps next season, if there is one, will be better.

I still have the last episode left to watch, but I am THOROUGHLY ENJOYING this season so far. Guess that makes me the odd one out.
