I am 56 years old and have been playing video games since they first came out.  I love RPGS and and have bought every American console system to come out except the Neo Geo. I have put 200 hrs in Oblivion and still plan on another 200 hrs. My wife plays just as many and maybe more rpgs than I do.

Hey, this is my hobby. After a hard days work I can relax, kill a few monsters and save the world. I am never going to quit playing until the green grass is above me. Here is a list of some of my favorites over the years.

Favorite RPGs--1.Phantasy Star 1
                        2.Skies Of Arcadia
                        3.Dragon Quest VIII
                        4.Arena

                        6.Wizardy 8
                        7.Oblivion
                        8.Might And Magic III
                        9.ys(Turbografx cd)
                      10.Eye Of Beholder 1-3

Favorite console--1.PS3
                            2.PS1
                            3.Snes
                            4.Genesis

I'm a total gamer but I'm only really interested in PC games, and to a very very small extent ds/wii. But mostly PC.

Damn it, dholen, thankyou for putting Skies of Arcadia in your top 10. Logically, though, it should be first.

I'm just as interested in video games as I always was. The problem for me is money. There are loads of games I'd love to buy, but I just don't have that kind of budget.

If I had enough money, I'd only be getting offer my butt to change the discs.
Don't worry, I'll be putting stuff here in a sec.

I'm still pretty interested, still very much involved but definitely not as much as I used to be.  It has been a long time since I've ever been bogged down by a backlog of games which is the situation I'm in now.  It's just that more pressing responsibilities (more work in school, more work at...work) among other things doesn't allow very many times where I can dedicate more than two hours to a game in a single sitting.  When it first came out it took me nearly a month to beat Twilight Princess and even longer to get as close as I could to 100% completion for example.  I'm actually not sure if I want to get the Wii Fire Emblem because even the GCN one took a lot of time to beat and the Wii's game is apparently quite a bit longer and more involved content wise.

I'd probably wager that before long, portable gaming will begin to take priority with me, gaming wise, moreso than console gaming.

I do keep up with the news and still try to read quite a few articles and editorials here and there; but otherwise, while I won't consider myself a casual gamer every year I find myself getting closer and closer to that, especially if I'm already thinking of casting aside games I'm highly interested in as a result.

I play a lot of games but rarely anything new, next-gen consoles don't appeal to me either but XBLA seems quite awesome, I think overall the PS3 is a much better console though.

It's hard to find developers to like now, studios are so much bigger and for whatever reason are often incapable of making good games.
