Talk about far fetched.

Man this guy just pulls some really shitty points out of his ass.

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

yeah, basically the game has gotten all the attention it's going to get. it was on all the sites it's going to be on and nobody will make any updates on it on big sites because it's INDIE or whatever and because it is so strange. also the game doesn't have any real staying power. it's funny the first time but after that it sort of isn't and you get tired of it. i have played the game 10000 times to test it and it's not really that funny to me anymore. there are parts that i really like and some parts that i really hate too. it's also kind of half-assed too. not the stuff gz did, but our writing. bort and i were talking about it and we could easily do a game much better than this. there are parts that are written so badly or that we didn't put much effort in. each segment of the game represents like 2-3 hours of work for bort and i (and like 100 for gz).

but i have been sort of thinking about making an EXPANSION PACK called barkley shut up and jam: gaiden - zeitgeist of the dwarfs or ziggurat of the dwarfs. i think dwarfs are hilarious.

for people with the music problem, i released a working beta of the game. chef caught about 10 instances where music plays incorrectly or not at all. i will release an official version tomorrow or the day after that fixes these. your save files are compatible with all barkley versions in case you are wondering. also after that we will repackage the download links so new downloaders who have the problem don't need to download from 20 links and read the entire thread.

That's what happens if you go over the same thing repeatedly then you stop caring about the substance as you go crazy with testing. That's why it's better to let someone else beta test it for you so the magic stays in. ya digg?

no, i am super happy with the response barkley has gotten. i am just saying that it doesn't have any staying power because it is a joke and not a real game.

Uh, I enjoyed it as an actual game, not just as a joke. I had fun with the battles. I didnt get a "lol community rpg maker game" feeling at all during gameplay, I felt like I was playing very good game. Only the ripped graphics and like, lol rpg maker water tiles reminded me it was a "joke game".
