Wow, this is great, the final battle against Jordon is like the most surreal thing I have ever played. Seriously you guys deserve insanely mad props for doing this game.
I've already started replaying it in Al Behd (plus victorian steampunk) mode, there are hidden cards to unlock a door and deathtemples and things? hmm have my work cut out for me if I wanna do it all.

Remember when Barkley was advertised around the Internet, and GW got a huge spike in activity and visits because of it? Is anyone planning on doing that again? Not only will it obviously help the site, but the game is seriously that good.

around christmas time we tried to release barkley with the new gaming world but i couldn't finish it in time and the new site wasn't ready either. i (and drule) suggested it again afterwards but the main site is quite a ways off it seems. when drule is done the trailer chef and bort will SPAM THE INTERNET i think so it's very unfortunate the new main site isn't up because this would probably get GW some NEW BLOOD.

I have to be honest, when the demo came out I didn't even play it because it was on rpgmaker and I thought "hehehe it's only another of chef's wacky stories i'll read it sometime else"

But now I got this

And I am totally amazed man. The story is brilliant. Cutscenes are actually pretty good, engine is quite decent, battles are great imo (I do enjoy them, though of course it's not like an ACTION GAME or whatever but it's got interaction which I like) and there are just so many eastereggs and TRUCKPUMPS(man I adore truckpump). This only brings back to the point that THE STORY IS GENIUS.

If I had ever actively wished to make an RPG, I'd have wanted it to be like this.

Totally blew me out of the water man, 6 out of 5.


PS: If you don't get MAD OFFERS and RESPECT out of the ENTIRE INTERNET (since the entire internet creamed itself over the rpgmaker demo) with this, something is wrong with the world.

i'm pretty impressed you guys went all the way with the custom made stuff, i wasn't expecting any of that at all.

Guys... I have just discovered my calling.  This story cannot be fully documented in a game IT MUST be turned into a graphic novel.

Just saw this on SA, and am downloading now.

This game has certainly grown up from its demo days.

this is probably the best game I've played in a while.

Left this to download overnight (dial-up). I must say, if you have dial-up, leave this to download overnight... it gives you a reason to get up in the morning.

All in all, I was pretty much amazed by this and definitely worth the time. The battle system is a refreshing change from click-select-buttonmash and works effectively. The cutscenes and dialogue are top-notch (oh, and the voice acting in the intro really threw me off-guard). I'm only up to Cesspool X so far and will be playing more later! Kudos to Chef and GZ.
