How does something that prints in a magazine get something so horribly inaccurate? It's amazing that it was acknowledged at all... but still, it's not made in RPG Maker...

By the way, I just started playing the game. It's awesome. You guys did an awesome job.

I had a friend in grade school and he kept going on about how he had these neighbors and they had a dog named Barkley

he was pretty obsessed with it actually - like there was some cosmic significance to it

Hey guys, just thought I'd mention that the current issue of PCPowerPlay features my short Barkley mention and the game is on the coverdisk. As I mentioned, I didn't have much space to talk about it, but I may bring it up again in a future indie article that's in the works, though I really can't promise anything.

I may as well pimp my magazine while I'm here! We're very indie friendly at PCPP. I've been covering freeware games for about three years now. My section was recently expanded, so I'll be able to talk about them even more! We also have another section called Garage Games which focuses on indie games, which has been going on for longer than I've been writing for the magazine (four or so years). We also often review indie games in the same section as commercial games, as we believe they shouldn’t be treated differently, especially considering the fantastic quality of games the scene continues to pump out. Aquaria was recently reviewed (got an 8 out of 10) and I review AudioSurf next issue. The freeware FMV game, Fate by Numbers, even got a full page review! So yes, we have a love for the indie!

Finally, congratulations on all the attention you've received! You deserve it.

Oh man, wow, that's amazing. We are ON THE COVER OF A MAGAZINE, even if it's only a tiny blurb. That is insane. Seriously, thanks a lot Cycle, we really appreciate it. Also yeah, Adeline, pick me up a copy and I'll pay you for shipping and everything. I'll PM you my address!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you're not on the magazine cover! You're on the DVD cover. Which is handy, because people will be like "boy, I sure feel like playing SHUT UP AND JAM GAIDEN for the twelth time" and they'll be able to find it quick and easy! I took some pics with my webcam.

And here is the mention. Uh, sorry about the rather crappy comment about the gameplay. I wanted to explain WHY it's fun, but there is only so much you can do with 50 words, so I tried to do a little THE PREMISE IS SO INCREDIBLE YOU ALMOST FORGET ABOUT THE RAD GAMEPLAY thing. Hope you liked it!

Yeah, that's pretty awesome anyway. Plus, we're on the same page as an article that mentions Everquest. It's like you guys know me.

i think the game could have been made even better if in the Victorian mode, characters like Baron Davis, Earl Watson, Ben Wallace (Big Ben), and Chauncey Billups made appearances, since their names are English sounding or include English titles.
also, the game could have easily turned players like Ron Artest, Jermaine O'neal, Stephen Jackson, and Carmelo Anthony into bosses, since they've all been involved in fistfights during games.
also, instead of the chinese pharmacy place, it could have been a Duane Reade run by Dwayne Wade
