I've gone back to playing now that I'm feeling a bit better. (Although the brutal coughing just kicked in)

Anyways, today I fought halibabica and YoshiJRC. Great games guys.
Btw for halibabica, the connection was great, almost zero lag.

Yeah, that's one of those strange cases where the lag's not so bad, but the circle's still red anyway.  Those other people playing were my sister and her bf, by the way.

Favorite was either Ike or Pit, funny thing is I don't even know what games they come from haha.

Pit is from the Kid Icarus series, and Ike is from the Fire Emblem series. C'mon, what kind of gamer are you?

I've been fighting you a lot lately.  Can you tell me...am I improving with Snake at all?  He's been awkward to get used to, and I'm trying to practice with him more.  Meta Knight, too, I have a hard time finishing people with him.

I thought your Snake was good.  But then again you're overall just better than me at the game so I might not be the best person to ask!

Yeah, I've added just about everybody.  I think there are still a handful that posted their codes since I last checked, but I still have almost all of them.  I also usually leave my brawl room open just in case someone shows up.  In the meantime I work on my RPG, so it's a win-win for me.

There was some noticeable lag, mostly when throwing you off the stage and trying to spike you down the stage or edgeguard you. Mostly did full jumps and seemed to do a spike correctly or a back air, but Falco suddenly warped up or down or even floated in place and G&W/Yoshi teleported to safety, it was kind of awkward because I couldn't really know where you were goign exactly because of it.

Also some input lag but that was minimal.

I noticed when I use Sheik's up-aerial really close to the ground, she'll land on her back and then spring up to her feet... which she doesn't normally do when you land on the ground.  Is there a name for this technique?  And is it beneficial in any way?  Or just an added animation that has no effect on gameplay?  I'm guessing other characters can do it too, but so far I've only noticed it with Sheik...

That's the landing animation, during that time, you can't move or do anything and you are completely vulnerable to your opponent.

In Melee, it was possible to half the landing animation with L-cancelling (which was an official technique and mentionned in the manual and tutorial portion of the game), but they completely removed the feature in Brawl and now only auto-cancelling works, which is simply doing the attack so fast that it actually completes before you hit the ground again, tho it only works with some attacks (yes, Sheik's uair is one of those attacks that can be auto-cancelled).

I dunno WHY I kept fucking up Vanish.  And Wolf's recovery, I've always had trouble with, but today I was just horrible.  I pretty much died every time I left the ground with him.

And then I got pissed off about all my fuck-ups which made me fuck up even more.  I need to take a break and calm myself... haha.

Lag was definitely not helping either of us, I missed a bunch of obvious shit (ie: you tripping right behind me) because I couldn't react fast enough to it. Still, good games. Your Sheik's shaping up nicely.

I need to be more aggressive but I'm so afraid because of the lag between me and most others that I'll kill myself that I just don't do anything when throwing people off the stage since it's safer than try and spike someone and risk a fastfall into the pit (that happened pretty often against you, actually). Also it's fucking impossible to laserlock anyone with half a brain cell

Edit: By the way, feel free to add me to MSN or AIM if you want to get more fights against me on a more consistent basis, I'm usually doing nothing except homeworks or playing others at Brawl if I'm online (which is like 4 days a week because work is pretty gay these days)

I know I'm double posting and all but my other post is pretty old and this is pretty relevant. One of the first and serious attempts at a tier list has been done and it's pretty much spot on in my opinion, some disparities with what I personally think is good but otherwise it's pretty fine.

High - Ice Climbers, Zelda, ROB, King Dedede, Diddy Kong, Zero Samus, Game & Watch, Olimar, Fox, Lucas

Only thing I don't like is ROB being high and Sheik mid, I'd switch them around, but it's otherwise pretty fine. Also, no tiers are for queers bullshit, I'm posting this for serious discussion. I'm kinda glad I switched my mains to Falco and Pit when I did since the shit that's been discovered about them now is pretty awesome.

Wolf is top?  Wow.  I mean... he's my second-favorite to use behind Sheik, but I wasn't expecting that.  It makes sense though... he has some really awesome smashes. 

shame that the Cap'n seems to have taken a beating.  Since I didn't play Melee very much though, I can't say myself.

I mostly use Marth and Toon Link. I used Metaknight when I first started off playing. I'd say that, overall, I prefer Marth so far. However, I am really only starting to use Toon Link.

I wouldn't be surprised if Snake was still top tier in a few years when the tiers have been looked into even more.

He can take control of the stage with those explosives of his.  He's kinda slow, but it doesn't matter how quick you are if he traps you in a prison of fiery death.  Haha.  Players who master Snake will be absolute beasts... I myself can't use him very well yet.
