The REAL question is... is there any Yoshi players among the GW regulars. (I use em', but I'm wonderin' if anyone else does.)

I played a match with Yoshi once (I always play on random) and it was awful.  I don't know anything about the tiers in this game but I'd be willing to bet Yoshi is the very worst character.

Most definately, apart from Snake I'd reckon, Yoshi would be my main.
All I do is B the shit out of my buddy's, but hey!  :fogetnaughty:

Yoshi is really good if you know how to use him right, not many people see it but his Up+B is somewhat his 3rd jump, so he's pretty much set this time around, he wasn't as good in Melee.

But they gave him a very good upgrade, plus it is fun to kick people's arse with em'! :D Low Tier or worst blah blah, don't care... either way, I think Yoshi is probably one of the better ones, not many seem to notice.

Yoshi's voice annoys the crap outta me.  I refuse to use him just for that reason.

Man I love Lucario so much. It's definitely my best character right now, and I think it fits my playstyle really well. I tend to move around a lot and use aerial moves, and Lucario is fast and is awesome in air so he's great for me. I also like his smashes and the projectile is very nice, especially when you have lost a lot of health. I still have to practice countering (down-b) because I'm not too good with it (tend to use it too early) but I'm getting better.

I've been meaning to ask, am I the only metaknight player among the GW regulars?

I used him when I first got the game, now I'm mainly using Snake / Olimar with maybe some Ike and PINK captain falcon. Been messing around with luigi too...

The thing I really love about Brawl is that even in the past two pages, people have been discussing their best characters, and it's so much more obvious how balanced this game is. Although there are several characters I don't like (Yoshi ugh), for the most part the tiers are closer together and thus easier to 'over come'. I really like this, since when I play random I don't have to cross my fingers and hope for a certain set of 4 or 5 characters, like in Melee.

What do you guys think about C-sticks? I was talking with my friend about it, and he thinks it shouldn't be used at all. I don't personally use it, but I don't have a problem with people who do. He thinks it is cheating, unless you are really bad or new to playing. I have heard this argument before, what do you guys think?

If he thinks that it is cheating, then he is basically trying to say that he is a sore loser.

I've never heard of anyone having a problem with the c-stick...

C-stick for cheap stick!

Actually, nothing is wrong with c-sticking. If anything it adds more options to the game because it lets you do stuff that you wouldn't be able to do normally, like use a forward air while jumping backwards at non-stop momentum. It also lets you do a forward smash in the other direction without having to actually turn your character around.

I use c-stick all the time. :|

I mostly use it for smash attacks, but only when I want them to come out quick.  I usually do smashes the regular way, but sometimes that just ain't fast enough.

I used to think C-sticking was cheap, but now it's available in all modes of play instead of just multiplayer.  I acknowledge its worth, and I would not blame someone for using it anymore.

Oh, and good games, Nightblade!  Your Olimar and Snake are really hard to handle.  I kinda caught onto your playstyle, though, so you might want to vary up your strategies a little bit.

I swear, at the end I just threw my controller aside, all of them really close games; and one game I practically gave away when I was ahead of you by 2. Going to try and vary things up a bit so that Im a bit more unpredictable, maybe work on defensive stuff like I did in the lucario match.

My friends and I played my friend's little brother, and all he did was C-stick the hell out of Roy (in Melee), so we 'banned' it. Recently though, I started actually reading up on Melee and watching tournament matches and strategies and actually starting making it a hobby as opposed to just a game, and I didn't care about it anymore.

I use it sparsely in Brawl though, because it seems to be less effective. Maybe my controller doesn't work properly but half the time the C-stick doesn't work.

Hey no need to apologize man. We all have our off days. :^)I don't see many people using him much, it also seems that I'm the only Wario player around here. (Maybe I'm wrong I dunno)
<--- Ahem... Although I haven't been playing Smash lately due to final exams and all.

I use c-stick for quick smashes, and A for charging them, and that's pretty much it. Nothing wrong with using c-stick.
