It's open source and supports plugins. The only way this isn't going to support ad blocking is if no one makes it.

I was in programmin' class today when my schoolmates and I realized it was out. So, we downloaded it and decide to well, browse the web. My friend tries to check his e-mail (Hotmail) and an error appears sayin he should upgrade his browser in order to view the site.

He just uninstalled it...

I don't think it magically sucks cause it doesn't work on one site. It was just released!

I like this a lot. It works well on my old computers (like this POS toshiba laptop I am on right now)

An inbuilt microsoft support check that you can bypass anyway isn't the browser's problem, it's shortsighted design on their end

There's no click wheel scroll.  I need to use that.  This sucks.

apparently, If you have adblock+ installed on firefox, it'll import the black list for it. I guess thats the closest thing to ad blocking it has so far, but I bet someone will make an adblock plugin in for it in no time.

Bob this might be a stupid question but is firefox running when you are trying to do this?

also is it actually installed on your computer are you somehow using a standalone exe or something of that nature? did you somehow NOT install Firefox but are just running it?

also i am using it right now! i actually kind of like it, it has a nice clean interface and I have to say so far it performs fairly well for how fucking beta this shit is.

no man i closed firefox, its installed on my pc (3.0.1) and i even reinstalled chrome like 6 times! i just can't figure it out.

i wish i could change the skin on it too

But it kind of sucks that they launch this whole speech of how they tried to make it compatible with most websites, or at least the most used ones, and when I try to open the first site, friggin' hotmail... it doesnt' works.

Hotmail isn't as popular anymore afaik. Everyone uses like gmail, etc. I haven't seen a hotmail address in some time.

Also understand they tested out all the sites through bots, and might not have tested out hotmail yet, or something. It'll clear up soon imo...

PS: Maybe what I posted doesn't make sense because I don't understand what is on that page but I know that at least I use a hotmail email

Actually I'm using it right now, and it's working pretty damn well, dunno about pop up blocker, because I do't visit many sites that have pop ups, but for some reason, most of my internet browsers are working badly after a virus entered my pc ( I cleaned it already) but the chrome browser seems to be working flawlessly (*takes google money with a smiling face).

yeah this is mildly disappointing, I have grown rather attached to that although I initially found it to be a very strange way to scroll

Pretty much sucks so far:

-marginally faster than Opera... if at all
-speed dial ripoff isn't customizable in the slightest (from what I can see)
-closing the last tab closes the browser. I REALLY HATE THIS, I just want to see the speed dial while - at the same time - removing the tab I'm viewing, like in Opera on Windows.
-no middle click scroll. ugh.
-can't middle click to create tabs. ugh.
-no "duplicate tab" feature.
-no "paste and go".
-I must be the biggest motherfucking Opera fanboy on the planet.

I don't understand the difference between the interface in incognito mode and normal mode. They look identical to me on Vista.
