I heard chapter 6 or 7 is like 3 times longer than all the previous chapters combined

is this true

chapter 6 takes about 5 minutes. it's more of a cutscene than a chapter. it's cool though. :3

and yeah, chapter 7 is the longest chapter. it's a really good one, and it answers a lot of the questions that arose during the earlier chapters.

Can you upload your save state/ save file of the fight? If so I can check it out. Otherwise.. no. I don't remember anything about that fight.

I got up to chapter 2, but for some reason I am really tempted to get the handbook because of its collector's value and because I'd probably need a walkthrough at some point.

i'm getting the handbook just because it's AWESOME and i LOOOOVE the Mother series, most of all Mother 3.
i don't see why anyone would need a walkthrough for Mother 3. it's not like one of those games where you wander around not knowing what to do for hours.

I'm almost through with this, and I must say I'm very pleased.


However, I was up against the last boss, and BAM, power outage.... grumble grumble

I think I'm going to buy the handbook too. I've got the original Earthbound player's guide (http://www.scribd.com/doc/8476/Earthbound-Nintendo-Players-Guide) which is better than anything, hopefully this one is similar

That's great. I didn't play with savestates though, for the most part.

Though, in Earthbound since I used only savestates and grinded like hell with fastforward, I got a whole million phone calls from Dad.

Just finished the game, aftermath of the final battle nearly brought me to tears.

This game is pretty neat. Really great vibes.

I hate the fact that music plays when you go to the menu, it totally ruins the continuity of the current level music. Other than that, I really am enjoying the game. I still think some characters have little to none characterization but that's how it was in Earthbound and in Mother 3 it's much better. More character dialogue and I really dig how your dog is a pivotal character. Almost every boss has completely destroyed me the 1st time, but I always end up regrouping and winning the 2nd time, usually as my counter is going to 0.

spoilers --> did anyone get the Chimera Report reference? When you go the Chimera Lab, and check the sign that says MOVIE, it says "Now showing "Chimera Report" sponsored by P-Corp".

it's probably not a reference to Dguy's game, but I thought it was kind cool. what a coincidence!

And yes the Earthbound player's guide was almost better than the game itself
