How can you look at the scene where they are rebuilding a community within the crater and say that =(

It was a 10 second segment?  Everything plot related flew by too fast.  You only saw two cities I believe get blown up and New York was the one in most detail (it's interesting to note that there were maybe ten people in the streets when the bomb went off).  I didn't even see the inspectors.  I'm sure the uncut DVD will have longer segments with all the side characters but reading the comic was an emotional hit because almost every recurring character still alive gathers together at one point and the psychiatrist is like "shut up wife i learned we're all savages and need to help people" and the inspectors are like "shit sucks let's go make a difference" and the newspaper stand is like "you're alright random black kid who doesn't buy any fucking issues i've seen a lot of things at this newstand OH GOD END OF THE WORLD."

there's a still a tear stain on my book paper.  if i had it with me i'd scan it to show you guys.

If something is pretty cool, it's 9/10? Shouldn't it be in the realms of mind blowing and innovative to be a 9, realistically...?

Dark Knight on bluray. It was same ol' good dark knight, except it made me wish I had a good tv to really enjoy it.

Hahaha is that a joke? If not, dude you need to chill out a bit.

I just watched SWAT, which coincedentally also has Colin Farell in it. I like the movie a lot but it is by no means a great movie.

I also saw Dukes of Hazzard. Awful awful awful. I enjoyed looking for all the Broken Lizard stuff they jammed into the movie though.

I just saw Bangkok Dangerous or whatever. It was so amazing. Not only did Mr. Cage have a totally rad mullet, but there was a subplot with him and this foreign deaf chick. Words cannot describe. Everyone should see this movie.

Also, Mr. Cage caps two common street thugs in the face after they try to take his wallet (and then attempt to give it back to him), all the while he's with this deaf chick who has her back turned who had just given him a love note and she's all waiting for his reaction and she turns around and he's killed these two guys and she's got blood all over her dress so she freaks out and leaves.

Also, at one point Mr. Cage turns around and there's an ELEPHANT right next to him, and him and the deaf chick have a very tender slow motion scene where he pets the elephant.

Forgot - It was the "Directors Cut" version. I've been told the original was so bad even I wouldn't like it :P

Most "innovative" movies I've seen weren't very entertaining :(

Does anyone actually watch 'terrible' movies if a bunch of people tell them its terrible beforehand?
I usually steer clear of those movies but I feel like I should have given them a chance or atleast tried watching them so I can tell people they are terrible.

Generally speaking, I trust the judgement of the people I call friends, so if they tell me a movie is terrible, I'll avoid it. However, I'm the most avid movie watcher of my group so I'm usually the one dishing on how good or bad a movie was or wasn't. It's only in the rare circumstance that I will watch a movie that I have been warned about, and most of the time it's because I'm curious about what warranted the bad reviews.

In regards to GW, fuck no. If a movie isn't worthy of an oscar, you can bet your ass there's at least 10 people here willing to tell you a 5$ ticket is too much. On the other hand there are a dozen or so people willing to watch just about anything too.
There are tons of ways to find out whether a movie is genuinely bad or not without seeing it, especially with the internet. I usually use Rotten Tomatoes rating percentages to help me decide on movies. As long as it's got over maybe 40% I think it could still be good. You have to take into account other people's opinions and likes/dislikes, age, etc... I probably would've ended up seeing Street Fighter were it not for Rotten Tomatoes.

I watch absolutely everything that's not completely ridiculous or aimed at small children. (I love disney though,
but that's a different story.)

I happen to like a lot of the movies critics shun and I have the awesome ability to find entertainment
value in almost every movie I watch. I normally just scan the plot summary to decide wether it sounds
interesting or not. That said, i wish I hadn't seen Rise and Ecks VS Sever.

Also, I agree with Mongoloid.

Other than that...

last movies I saw were Se7en (again), Perfume and Mulholland Drive. I have officially fallen in love with latter
movie.
The only thing dumber than an argument on the Internet is the same argument in real life.

I watched Twilight again but a proper copy, was hoping watching a mint copy rather than a dark blurry one might make the film a little better for me but turns out this movie sucks no matter what.

Insanitarium is a movie. Yup, that about sums it up.

NO NO NO NO, will not do one line posts. Bad Mamamack!

Insanitarium casts some folks including someone from Desperate Housewives and the chick from Attack of the Show. The premise is this: Sister tries to kill herself and gets committed, brother fakes his way into insane lock-up to find his sister, discovers (from a conveniently placed neurotic geek) that the doctor of the funny farm is conducting experiments on his patients, attempts to break sister free and succeeds but only after about a hundred people get eaten by the doctor's 'patients' who are hyped up on some drug that makes them want to eat people. Oh yeah, and their eyes turn white. And Quark is there, too. Did I mention the chick from Attack of the Show?

Anyway, this movie was, at best, decent. The longer it got, though, the cheesier it became. OK, we get it, the patients are cannibals. The doctor is crazier than the people he's taking care of. Quark is creepy even without his Ferengi make-up. Eye candy comes in the form of the dude from Desperate Housewives and the chick from Attack of the Show, but that's about all this movie has going for it. With a bit more script work and a bit more time, this could have been a good movie. As it stands now, it's a 'meh.' Decent enough to recommend a rental, but don't waste your money buying it.
