I'm tempted to continue making fun of you, but really dude?
horseshit like this is a staggering waste of cinematic talent and resources, i don't understand why you would want to SUPPORT this kind of shitty movie instead of going to see something that's not all about explosions.
seriously i have nothing against BIG EXPLOSIONS AND SFX SCENES (die hard is my favorite action movie, no country for old men had some spectacular cinematography and sfx scenes, raiders of the lost ark had one of the most memorable special effect scenes in all of cinematic history, hell, star wars is great and it has some memorable scenes which rely almost ENTIRELY on special effects to wow the hell out of you) but if there is NO REDEEMING QUALITIES TO THE FILM other than oops look its sf thats pretty badass xD why would you want to spend money to see it? why would you particularly want to see it at all?
do you not see the difference between an action-adventure movie spectacle that's actually good like raiders of the lost ark and the stuff emmerich pumps out? movies like this have no good acting, they certainly don't have memorable characters, they DEFINITELY don't have well-written plots, and most of all they lack any kind of charm
jesus, and then there's all the movies which are about SO MUCH MORE than entertainment. you're the type of guy who walks out of No Country For Old Men thinking that it could have used a couple of big explosions or that you really wanted to see Moss battle the Mexicans in a big gunfight.
Okay, please don't assume you know my taste in movies.
I can watch and enjoy absolutely anything. I was in the tenth grade the first and only time I saw TDAT, and I liked it. It had faults, I never said it didn't, but I wanted to see action and I did, and so I was pleased. It's hardly the worst movie ever made like some of you are making it out to be.
I didn't say it was my favorite movie of all time (or anywhere close) or the greatest piece of cinema ever created. All I said, was that I liked it for what it was, mindless entertainment. There are a variety of movies made for everyone. If someone doesn't prefer movies like NCFOM, it doesn't mean they have better or worse taste than you, it's just not what they're into.
I mean, if I'm gonna pay $10 to see a movie, I wanna have fun, damn it. If it's long, and slow, and boring, I am going to acknowledge everything good about it...I'll just never in my life want to see it again.
