A test screen for the Organ Deteriation screen from a project that will most likely never see the light of day. The game is set in a dark future, nuclear winter has forced people into domed cities with horrendous living conditions. The recycled air and chemicals leaking all over the place has brought about a plague of organ failures in every living person. The only way to survive is to peridically replace damaged or dying organs with new ones. The new organs can be bought or *cough* acquired in other ways. Some organs gives bonuses to field skills, stats or special abilities, as well as keeping you alive a little bit longer.

Each character has a screen like this and I still need to figure out a spot to put the percentage of health for each organ...possibly on top of the spot on the body?

Thoughts?

Edit:
I decided to put them here.

@Bunsen.05: Maybe you could do it the same way Deus Ex do it?

@Lennon: On the second and fourth screen the tree actually looks like it's growing out of Kolei's head. On the far right on both if those screens, there's a little waterfall on that small bit of land, it looks really out of place. Take that out. Otherwise, it's top notch!

Yeah, I sure that thats because of it appearing over chars heads. And those little waterfalls... I never really saw them as too much of a problem, but I'll try it without them, sure.

Think I got that overlay fized up now. Have it at 85% transparency instead of 55%.

Yeah. I see someone hasn't played Dooms series. Which is a shame, since Angelissa's Quest will explain a lot of stuff about them; including the origins of the Terror Mask.

I played Dooms 2 like 4 years ago and I finished it, so that is why it surprised me that Dooms was mentioned in this game. I didn't even know they were related at all.

Early. Gonna have more detail soon enough. This is part of that other idea that I mentioned a few posts ago btw.

Another seemingly uninspired map to throw into DoaDV. One of my first few steps back into working in the RPG Maker after a rough run in with the common cold. This is connected to that old north-eastern corner of Caldinasus, which was left as an opening in the mountains. Since 2008, the main story was cut and a small extra section was thrown in to give the players more of an insight about Corfaisus (known as the Dark Leader to this point). Essentially, an old mage named Yilphruk lives in a small house to the side of Caldinasus that knows of a way to lower the invisibility shielding that Corfaisus placed around his airship (sigh), and you come to him for such help.

Also got around to working further on the inside map for Caldinasus. The main buildings of the marketplace has been completed with the addition of the Pub, Inn, and Equipment shop.

You can now play the piano in the pub to spark a memory from the Bard, and after a small flashback-style cutscene you can obtain a "Book of Charm Song". This book can be used to... wait for it... learn Charm Song! When casting this spell, a single foe is hit with 30 base damage (more depending on character's wisdom) and is inflicted with the Charmed status effect, while also suffering a reduced resistance to all physical and magic attributes. "Charmed" halves the foe's defence while forcing it to attack other foes. Fairly worthwhile considering it only costs 7 MP to cast and (up to now) can only be obtained once.

He's quoting some of my old screens from earlier in the topic.
Organ disruptor?
Oh yeah, not the funnest energy weapon to be hit with. It essentially makes you shit out your liver = bad status effects against target, very bad status effects.

You can't handle the thruth!

Oh come on, that pic was asking for it =P

Looking good Yeaster but are you sure that is a good place for those hearts (top-right corner)? It looks kind of annoying to have to pay attention to them, while looking at the character's HP bars (bottom of screen) and the command menu (completly left from the screen)
I like pie :-)

A while ago, I posted some screens, basically asking if the hearts looked better at the bottom, top, or the middle, and the top ran out.

I'll be happy to change it though if more people have a problem with it, seeing as how it'll take all of two seconds.

Because clearly RMVX was made for this style. Panaroma backgrounds, moving portraits with extensive emotional vocabularies and uh, medieval ways of making someone out for an idiot because clearly, that is Roll's calling in life.

@Foliage: Right now that just looks like a Megaman RPG, which is really not interesting to me.

Yeah, some more stuff from what I'm working on. Btw that tree is supposed to look weird.

Lennon: To be completely honest with you, I haven't been too crazy about your screenshots. Custom graphics are always welcome and admirable, but everything you show is too plain and empty. I believe some shading would do miracles to your graphics, and more objects would do miracles to your maps.
