Progress has been made. I remade the jet pack system so instead of going in / \ like that it's now a smoother curve when you fall. I
also made a particle system that spew out smoke when you use the jet pack.

Kellroe has improved the map and made some new animations.

To see it all in action you can watch this vid:

Hey, Vanit, you should add some perspective to your Sector Battle BG. If you want, I could do it pretty easily... I think lol. I could atleast try.

But good stuff. I should post something but I don't really have anything. I need to make some battle sprites for myself, but I'm so lazy >_<.... Summer vacation <_<...

Best Vaporware from HBGames! Thanks to the forum!

Not really the style I'm after, but thanks anyway.

If you end up making a complete Barkley quest-series mod and everything, I'd play it.

@supra_killa - That first screenshot is quite awesome.

Here's a video of me losing at my own game. Enjoy  :fogetbackflip:

@ Cray - Please release that game before you die

same thing goes for Calunio

seriously the two of you are like, some people just give up on their rpg maker games but I think your games will outlive you (survived by his RPG Maker project)

@ Swordofkings128 - did he crash through the wall?

and uh how many projects do you have now? Don't spread yourself thin

you know your art style reminds me of something and it's always on the tip of my tongue but I never think of it

I mean that's got to be one of the most interesting things about your games, it seems from the story and everything else that it should be an imitation of some previous game or some anime stuff, but it's some different style that seemingly comes from nowhere

like even Supra Mairo's stuff is kind of steeped in 8-bit nostalgia and reminds me of when game's graphics were so bad you ended up thinking the monsters looked a completely different way because something you thought was a head turned out to be a foot. There was some other game a while back that I thought was pretty unique but it was still extremely Invader Zim

@ Momeka - Reminds me of Smash Brothers a lot. Your avatar intrigues me too if it's from a game

I'm pretty enthusiastic about my new project!

No mockups or anything like that. Both scenes are fully walkable and ready to be battled out!

As for now, I only have one fully animated battle character, though. But I have a lot of animated battlers available to be ripped  That's probably the biggest task at the moment. Well, that and setting the height settings correctly

NinjaEdit: Oh, forgot to mention it, but the window graphic is not final;)

It's isometric. The original work is in 3D, though.

As you haven't guessed the origins of the resoruces, and as I'm not looking to take credit for something I haven't made from scratch myself: The backgrounds are from Final Fantasy Tactics(except for the panorama), while the characters are modified characters from the same game.

I've made some adjustments to the first background by merging two maps from the game together and adding a panorama,

This looks amazing, what exactly are you making it with?

Thanks!

I'm using RMXP. I decided to give GubiD's isometric script a go and the inspiration have been pretty much non-stop since I started! It took quite a while, but I'm just so glad to see an isometric script that finally works like it should! Tactical battles just seems so much more "right" in isometric view than anything else:p

@ Momeka: I love the style. Remind me of that level for SSB Melee

@ Cray: And I adore those undershaded graphics. It seems much more colorful somehow.

@ Calvin: Look forward to this, man! I have been lusting for one of those for some time now
