corfaisus i actually like the older map of that island better. it's more visually striking and has less wasted space. also it conveys the sense of a mountain much better than just a big island with some rtp mountains dropped everywhere. i think more people should use elevations in their map screens.

that's exactly what i thought brown (also flashback was great). one thing i must say, the HUD is pretty busy especially with an ally / text box so you might want to do some downscaling

That would be a lot less confusing if there were actual borders for the boxes. Right now it takes about 15 seconds to figure out what the heck is going on, which is pretty bad, I think.

or instead of a solid border you could just change the colour of the border corners you've already placed. Still though, a solid border would make more sense.
