He was only making a point using you as the example because your posts were some of the most harsh and frequent, not attacking you. You're taking it very personally and while it was meant to be personal to make you understand it wasn't to hurt you so you don't really need to continue attempting to justify your life.

also ryan dallas music scene is pretty big and also pretty diverse and i've seen a lot of bands stay together for a while.

what do you want to major in panda? im def leaning towards music education but i might go for something like education and minor in music if im not good enough to get in. id like to do something in music though.

wouldnt mind history or political science or something either though

The idea was to make it personal so that I could be on the other end of it, and that's how I'd respond to that. That's all it is, a response. If I didn't respond then what would have been the point?

Arguing over whether or not I should have felt offended doesn't really matter though because I was, and I responded, and it's done.

i didn't say your life was like that at all?? also most things you typed were pretty boring. I GO FOR WALKS SOMETIMES. really, guy? someone who TRAVELS THE WORLD could easily come and tell you you're not really living, either, just going to school and going to an occasional picnic. but if you are happy then the point is that you ARE living and even if his life is more RICH//FULL//VARIED then he can't really be saying anything to you because maybe his life isn't for you and that's okay!! how do you not get this man. idk why you bother telling me about your life because there's nothing you could do unless you are a SECRET AGENT where this wouldn't apply to you.

also. my major atm is english or poli sci but i am switching to poli sci when i transfer. it is definitely gonna be a social science because that is the type of thing i love. when i started i thought i would do SOCIOLOGY and then i cycled through various other things like anthro and psych and all that jazz and it is all v cool although i am less into psych but my brother says that you need doctorates to do all that shit and i am already getting kind of old for that! so i tried to think of something i could do on the masters level and i am DRAWING A BLANK but i chose poli sci because you could go into a lot of shit on the grad level from it. short answer is i have No Fucking Clue. history would rule but what do you do with that

i wish you could major in what you wanted to know about and have a career based on something else. i would love to do MUSIC but like... idk i dont know dick about music and where would that even go. you are lucky to be doing music, i think.

i'm kind of weird though as far as jobs go. as long as it's pretty tolerable (i wouldn't mind teaching in general, really depends on the subject though) i'm fine with it. as long as i have enough spare time to play music at nights and shit i really could care less about what i do. obviously i'd prefer doing music full time but if thats not an option part times cool too..

also doing history you tend to end up just teaching. same with poli sci. if you go into grad level you can do research and write about it and shit but you'd prolly have to teach too to pay the bills.

i mean, i think you are ON THE RIGHT PATH. being a freelance music teacher sounds awesome. you would do something really cool for a living in that a) you'd get to play music and b) you'd be helping others learn to play. this is the best thing! plus you'd have flexible hours and tons of time off. the more i describe this the more it sounds like a dream job, especially if you lived in a BIG CITY and not some random gay suburb.

also yeah most social sciences seem to lead to teaching or research/teaching. idk about that! my geology/urban studies prof has two doctorates tho and he says he routinely gets offers from THINKTANKS so maybe you could do something like that?? he also mentioned POLICY ADVISOR but those both sound like the creme de la creme lol and probably require doctorates so on the master level it looks pr. bleak. maybe i should just commit to a phd but who wants to be in school that long when theyre already years behind?

See I don't mean to be that defensive but I can't really help it when he's trying to remake a point I already understood when it seems like he's just trying to say more things about who he thinks I am. I think it's pretty normal to want to defend yourself!
