I played this game called Enslaved: Journey to the West and it was really good. It was kind of short and the gameplay was a little clunky in some spots, but the story is pretty neat and the character development is done really well. It's one of those games that attempts to justify things like your HUD and upgrading using technology and stuff, and they manage to pull it off. They create a pretty convincing world and event though the ending was a little dumb, it was pretty solid and I don't think you'd regret playing it. I paid like 15 bucks for it and sold it back to GameStop a few days later for like 8. Fun once, can't really imagine playing through it more than once, even to get easy trophies.
I started playing Oblivion... the game is fun but also kind of bad. I turned the difficulty down a few notches because I really like exploring and making my own narrative, but jesus christ the UI on the PS3/console is pretty terrible. What the fuck is up with the map? I hate having to scroll around when checking out an area or fast traveling, it's just terrible. I can't blame them because the PC is really their target but man, they could have revamped that a little bit. At least give me a way to scroll the map quickly without the cursor, also, DEFAULT THE CURSE TO THE MIDDLE OF THE MAP. It always places it in the bottom-right corner and jesus, i fucking hate it.
Anyways yeah now that I've got some decent time in the game and I've got the leveling system "figured out" I kind of want to start over with a melee dude. I used the "Bard" class which is basically terrible like all the pre-built classes, but it's become fairly obvious that without a shitload of time spent leveling and hunting and shit the way to go is a heavy armor, melee+shield char with lots of endurance and strength. I can't fucking loot anything because if I pick up 1 axe and a piece of iron gear I'm already over-encumbered. Also, bows are fucking useless, though I can see how if you had a really high marksman level, some good arrows and poison you could probably do decent at just ranged fighting, especially if you can stay hidden. If i do make another guy though I'll probably try for some kind of battlemage, focused on melee but with the capacity for magic, if not to kill guys then at least to soften them up.
I'm sort of torn though because I'd honestly just like to play through the main questline, but I don't want to go do all this crap over again. So I'll probably end up using this one character and after I'm done I'll not play it for months and then start again with a new guy. I don't mind turning the difficulty slider down, I don't feel cheap or anything because I'm more interested in seeing all the content than challenging myself, I have other games I can challenge myself with.
yes coulombs are "germaine", did you learn that word at talk like a dick school?
