So E3 is here again and that means we get to see all the fancy new games coming out.

Microsoft Press Conference
So pretty much all they did was show some sequels to games I don't care about, then a bunch of Kinect games, most of which didn't seem all that deep and were more aimed toward a family audience. They also showed off a new XBox 360 model that I think looks really ugly and has built-in wireless which they should have had 5 years ago. Here are some videos:

EA Press Conference
I didn't actually watch this but it looks like they just showed off more sequels for Need for Speed and Medal of Honor and Madden. Yawn. Here's some videos anyway.

Ubisoft Press Conference
No Beyond Good and Evil 2, sorry.

Nintendo Press Conference
The best press conference. Nintendo managed to pull out some surprises and avoided spending too much time of stupid stuff like Wii Fit.

Sony Press Conference
Didn't watch this, since I don't have any Sony systems. Gran Turismo 5? That's cool, I guess. Twisted Metal? I think that game was big when I was in middle school. Gabe Newell came and showed off Portal 2.

Other Games

Has all the deus ex 3 stuff that's been coming out lately been from E3? I think it looks like it could be okay. By that I mean I am expecting a big world to explore with an emphasis on side missions and exploring. The despicable 3rd Person View Special Kill Mode is making me want to puke, though.

Yeah I haven't exactly paid attention to this year's e3 (I didn't even know it was already going on) But I haven't heard anything being announced that is actually worth even posting about. Not saying this topic is dumb or anything just bummed e3 is so fucking dumb now. I mean I guess it's always been dumb but I remember a time I actually got a little excited when e3 was coming up, alas that is no more.

I am kinda excited about Maniaplanet. I've always liked Trackmania, but I'm also aware that most of the user-created tracks are just ridiculous stunt stuff. I'm really worried that the core games won't be strong enough to stand alone without the user-made content if it turns out the community can only churn out stupid junk. I mean, I'm not sure I've ever played a user-made map in an FPS that felt really professional and wasn't just something some guy made after thinking "I wonder what it would be like to play Counter-Strike in a GIANT BATHROOM."

Nintendo Press Conference is on now http://www.gametrailers.com/
Showing new Zelda game that uses Wii Motion Plus. It looks really colorful, but not as cartoony as Wind Waker.

wow, i am so underwhelmed by new zelda. i have very high hopes for it though because nintendo is the only developer who can make good games on wii and twilight princess rocked and i really wanna see what wii controls can do with zelda series. i'm not really digging this new style though and honestly, the trailer and gameplay footage are both kinda bland, it feels like they weren't even trying with them.

well now gametrailers has more detailed gameplay explanation of new zelda and now it seems way better, although the controls don't seem to be that responsive (actually make it not responsive at all), hopefully they can improve that. IF it works like it should, it should be really sweet, otherwise i can see it end up being pretty awful.

edit: in other news, donkey kong country returns is best news in whole e3. :fogetbackflip:
