dont eat garbage like that. Drink lots of water, try to avoid enriched flour in favor of whole-grain alternatives, don't eat microwavable shit that's filled with cheese, get fresh or frozen vegetables, fresh fruit, and just stick with whole foods as opposed to "food products".

Recipes aren't complex. Learning to cook also basically changes your relationship with food so you become more conscious of what you're putting in your body as opposed to being gross and just shoving microwavable cheese&MSG pot pies into your butt

*posts in drug thread* no man he's in college he's not gonna listen to that shit. it's good advice obviously but any student who eats healthy all the time and doesn't have a meal plan needs a more difficult major

for real it's not like cooking balanced and healthy meals is some sort of herculean effort which eats up your precious time. An hour of your day spent preparing dinner is not a lot and if you're a student and are somehow unable to spare a couple of your waking hours to prepare healthy meals to feed yourself then you probably need to work on time-management skills.

its good to have alot of fruits and shit like that to be healthy, i do agree with dietcoke, but its also good to be efficent with your time. if you have time to make a nice meal, go for it! but if its time to cram for some exam then snacks and quick eats are the way to go. just dont eat up alot of fast food, ive seen too many kids on campus go to mckydeez or some shit and end up really unhealthy from it by just having it every day for lunch :x

oh god not pop tarts!!!

it's true, you can probably afford the time to make meals no matter what you're doing unless you've got a really awful schedule like my 9am-9:45pm tuesdays, but it's more about the effort. after an awful day you can't quick throw together something to get it over with and move on to homework and shit? and if the guy's eating well most of the time a snack of bagel bites isn't gonna hurt him.

yeah, first two years of my uni I lived in a suite-style dorm and then a house where we had kitchens. I always cooked and even if it's just boiling pasta and adding some sauce it doesn't take much time at all and is much better for you. plus it's really easy to make dishes that you can eat over the course of a few days. even making some rice and keeping it in the fridge and then adding veggies or whatever quickly the next day. my roomates ordered pizza everyday, that's disgusting

you're right, that stuff doesn't hurt to snack on every once in a while but i remember so many dudes who just lived on that shit in college. One guy i knew always ate hotpockets and frozen TV-Dinners from like HungryMan and sometimes he'd load up on Kid Cuisine if there was a sale. His poops were always the most foul smelling/bathroom-region-clearing, he had the worst skin, and just smelled/felt/looked like shit in general. It aint good!

it doesn't even take that much time to make healthy meals.  salads are not time consuming.

at my old university i literally couldn't cook.  there were no kitchens and all we were allowed was a fridge and a microwave.  sure, there's shit you can microwave, but that's HELLA limited.  i still avoided eating tons of frozen shit or w/e by using my mealplan and eating cereal and soup and fruit/veggies a lot, but it got repetitive.  luckily i lived close enough to go home on the weekends so i'd cook good shit there and bring it back with me.

that's why i didn't assume he had access to a kitchen.  if he does have access to a kitchen and he's eating frozen dinner shit then yeah he's just being lazy but if all he has is a microwave it's much harder to make proper food in.  not all dorms have kitchens or even allow shit like george foreman grills.  we couldn't even have fuckin toasters in my dorm because they're a fire hazard (as if microwaves aren't????)

as far as i'm concerned microwaves aren't for cooking things, they're for reheating things or making popcorn.  having nothing but a microwave SUCKS.

King of Game's you can't really make fun of people talking about food because you boast about putting the most disgusting garbage in your mouth for some reason
