Also I think that since I stopped watching anime and reading manga I have become so much more of a japfag.
I can't cook so I eat ramen on a daily basis, and also frequently those little breadstick things in chocolate.
I listen to japanese music a lot(Boredoms, Ruins alone, Acid Mothers Temple, Afrirampo, Boris, Far East Family Band, Flower Travelling band, Taj Mahal Travellers etc) when I never used to listen to it when I was a animenerd.
I've spent a few days writing about Murakami and how he uses monsters to exaggerate how japanese society view geeks but then bundles it up in cuteness, as kawaii is their identification of themselves. (this is thankfully only a small part of my essay but still URGHGHH)

I stopped at the Biggest Cabela's (redneck/hunter mecca) and they had loads of dead deer (and pretty much any other non-extinct artiodactyl with big horns, like water buffalo and antelope) heads hanging on the walls. but guess what? no tusked deer: we've got a conspiracy on our hands. besides that, it's pretty nuts in there. it's not even like a big Dick's or any outdoor sports store, everything in there is about killing animals or already dead animals. all the products you can buy are designed to help you kill more animals and everything is made of wood or animal, 100% pure dead stuff none of that synthetic hogwash. the building itself is really awful too, it's all obviously imported stone and timber. it's probably what they were going for but it's junk

i wont download zappa unless it's a bootleg or alternate version (like CD releases of Sleep Dirt have vocals when it was initially an instrumental album, so I downloaded the later. MOFO came out as a 2 disk or prohibitavely expensive 4 disk, so i got the 2 disk and donloaded the 4 disk)
He currently has 96 albums or something marked as official releases, I want em all!

The Dweezil Zappa stuff (Zappaplayszappa and return of the son of) is really cool and worth a check out also. return... is particularly nice if you like guitars as he tries to play similar to his dad, but as he was taught by Steve Vai and Eddie Van Halen, he comes off with these really abstract sections that're hypnotic.
