you PC fucktards just don't get it, do you? it's just salty sailor talk. doesn't mean nothing. the other week we picked up two black fellas from Niger or Nigeria who had some crazy-ass names like Engyzwengy or some shit. they looked so similar you could swear they were twins but they claimed they weren't related at all. so anyway we nicknamed them Heckle and Jeckle, and as a joke we just shat on them all the time for not being able to clearly speak english and all this weird cultural shit they refused to tone down. so one day Ronnie found some worms in the bread bin and to teach them a lesson he put them on a plate with sone lettuce and drizzled syrup over them and he served that to them instead of lunch and said "eat up! this is what you eat where you come from, right?" they looked so sad but they actually started to pick up the lettuce to eat it lol but Ronnie stopped them and gave them a real lunch instead. so you see it's no harm done, they could've quit any time they wanted anyway but guess what, despite all you assholes whining and being all butthurt about salty sailor life, they're still here.

Farren posts some pretty offensive/gross stuff, man.
I'd say it was relatively mild although that is clearly down to interpretation.

I have to deal with two people in real life who subjectively take offence to ridiculous things and it is very annoying as one has learnt the technique from the other and my dad and I have to put up with the earache and I have my suspicions as to why it happens.

I'm not an argumentative person so when people pull that one I just don't know what to do with them.

If someone says something gross to me I can filter it out. Maybe once upon a time (say 2 years ago) when I was down and out I could have used something gross to take offence to make a negative point to appease the depressive urge inside. My brain would mentally take note of all the bad and polarise good and bad. There needs to be a line of code in those thought processes that prevents that and it took some level of maturity to get to that stage.

If you read something un-PC or risky and then instantly generalise all of that person's output as bad then perhaps you need to adjust the settings upstairs because the end result shouldn't be aggression.

I don't think you know what's going on, and your attempt at psychoanalyzing the people involved isn't helping you out at all. what did I say about that man. btw this isn't based upon a few isolated "un-PC" ugh posts

I like farren, I don't think he is a dumb or bad guy but it seems like a lot of times he doesn't clearly see what's gong on around him. I don't actually know what to think about this situation because all I've got to go on is his portrayal and I barely read any of the posts about it beyond the first, but it seems like maybe he was having second thoughts about it being AOK anyway? really what were we supposed yo get out of a story about knicknamed foreigners

edit: anyone who pulls out PC in defense of being called a bigot is just one step away from being a libertarian

Is there any way of passing a law that means a movie gets unmade? Not like BANNED, but wasn't made in the first place?

If not then our legal system is in tatters.

Putting your penis on Twitter apparently makes you more important than peaceful protesters being killed during Naksa.

we play on ignorant american stereotypes and pick at each other, mutually. Its all in good fun I've said this three times already its like how people joke on here sometimes. Its not that hard to understand. Yes its me saying ignorant shit but its purposeful and I know its ignorant as do they, meaning its a joke. There are some ignorant people on here sometimes as in every other avenue of your life if you hang around people you don't have an exclusive preference to. Some times I try to educate them to what little I do know myself but am often percieved as preachy so I just keep my mouth shut.

I dunno what anyone was supposed to get out of it and I knew I prolly shouldn't have put it here but I was thinking about it is all. Nothing wrong with nicknames. I got like four nicknames on here: Lil Bit, Buedo, Poncho, and some people call me kid. Alot of people are given nicknames and some stick and some don't Lim's nickname was what Lim wanted us to call him instead of muhmeda and harry is just called harry as a joke and he apparently doesn't have a problem with it. I actually asked him one time and he said he didn't care. like I tried to explain this is a different environment. Its not like a regular job where you do your hours and go home and don't really communicate with your coworkers beyong a certain point. Here you live with them, eat with them, and spend a majority of your life with them so sometimes its a little different. You might not act in a manner that is normally percieved as "professional" to other people looking from outside that haven't been in that situation, is what I've been trying to explain.
DEUCE: MEETING THE URINE UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL AND REALIZING IT'S JUST LIKE ME AND MY PREJUDICES THIS WHOLE TIME WERE COMPLETELY FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF PTTTTHTHTHH GOD IT'S EVERYWHERE
DEUCE: FUCK THIS TASTES LIKE PISS
PANTS: WHERE IT SHOULD TASTE LIKE COTTON CANDY OR PICKLES
DEUCE: OR AT LEAST LIKE URINE NOT PISS

I think we got what you were going for, but something ugly starts to surface as you read through that post and you can't help but to start wondering. like when you mention they don't know english very well etc, suddenly the rest of the post reads very differently. I think I remember in that post about women, the problem wasn't that you called her a bitch or cunt or whatever/didn't use 'PC language', it was what the rest of your post implied concerning your feelings on women. here, you sounded like some ignorant guy who's probably a bigot

the other argument to be had is whether it's really ok to Carlos Mencia people (no) but I'm not too interested in that

feeling better tho I only have 4 prescription acid-reducers left and I'm still not entirely without symptoms. probably gonna have to start hunting for a real doctor againwe shall see. though I am talking more about the human side
und sie sehen meinen lumpen und dies lumpige hotel! yeah, it's places like this where all the theory and reasoning gets pretty hideous and inhuman. not to mention these guys were working with an extremely dated understanding of human behavior and human life. thinking of humans solely in terms of their relationship to capital and whether or not they'll aid one's revolution is pretty gross to begin with anyway, but....the noble savage. how to explain?? mocking some sort of understood/implied purity and superiority of the 'working class'. it's everywhere, really. from your criticism of me "hating working class people" to the countless things marx and engels wrote about people and their classes to the horrible ways this shit was implemented in places like Russia. the lumpenproletariat, literally SHITTY LOW-CLASS PEOPLE (separate from the valuable low-class proto-revolutionaries). there are no good guys and bad guys? on which theoretical level I have yet to see???

as a reaction to communism, rand's objectivism is actually pretty similar to it despite trying to be its opposite. I was specifically speaking about the attention to work, labor, and productivity, as part of my qeuestion as to why WORK is so emphasized. I really can't see it as anything other than an attempt to elevate the faultless, productive "working people" from other low-class citizens and unfortunate people (who were no doubt taboo, undesirable and unmarketable even in this sort of primitive economy-based discussion of bettering human existence) and from the criminal bourgeoisie
You're reading it wrong. "lumpenproletariat" is not a derogatory term, it's a category describing people in the same position as the proletariat in terms of relationship to the means of production but are not properly fulfilling their 'role' in the productive labor process so they're not experiencing capitalist exploitation(another term with specific meaning in this context). I think you're looking at things in terms of personalization and character judgments whereas marxism is looking at the terms in which individuals in society relate to each other. Work is emphasized because it's where value is created, it's where exploitation occurs, it occupies most of our day/lives, it's required for producing the necessities of life etc. It's certainly not glorified either, a consistent demand throughout the workers movement(russia/china disasters excluded) has been to shorten the working day so I still don't really see where you're coming from with the Rand comparison in terms of method or conclusions.
also criminality is completely beside the point. the whole reason why marx's critique of capital is so powerful is because he assumes equal exchange, legality, and critiques it on its own terms assuming functioning markets. Like I said, there's no goodguys and badguys here, it's a 'structural' analysis and critique and the categories are not character judgments. I'd really suggest reading more marx, he's a great writer.

What sort of jobs or people would this describe? For example I make websites as a freelancer, would that apply? The people I work for are mostly small business owners and there aren't really any raw materials involved (ignoring software and hardware that's used to produce the work). That's about as far removed from, say, being a coal miner as I can think of without being a business or intellectual elite of some sort.

its a little nuanced, but usually people in business for themselves/small proprietors/freelance workers, consultants, & contractors fall under the category of "petty-bourgeois". In the case of skilled freelance work, you essentially have control over the things you produce and come to the market as an owner of the finished product of your labor as opposed to someone who only has their labor power to sell and has to work for wages.

also you can't really ignore the software and hardware used to produce the work. those are instruments of production and play a big role in the production and distribution processes in this example so they're things that need to be looked at as well. in your case, you own your means of production(the computer/software) and distribution(leased bandwidth or disks)

We fans of the game of baseball, live and die with our teams.....it is a figurative metaphor. In the world outside of sports, people are literally living and dying because of the evil Osama bin Laden has spread throughout the world. The loss of life during the 9-11 attacks and since because of the evil this man perpetrated on the world, should be grieved and remembered. After the attacks on 9-11, it was baseball, in a small way that returned to help the NYC and the nation heal. And baseball will once again help in marking this as an anniversary to be remembered.

I've heard some people celebrating the cutting off the head of the snake, but this snake, like Hydra, has many heads........just be sure to keep yours down.

/Sometimes I'm rather rubbed the wrong way by Farren and DietCoke but i think they don't mean any harm . . .
Also Glasya and Grazzt are pretty hot! (Yes, I'm talking about demons and devils here. . . )

Today was the last day at work for the top manager; he decided to resign and is going to start working for Apple. He says he feels the current company has become more about the bottom line than the customer and the workers. I had planned ahead and baked a cake - he said it was "not bad"-and wrapped a book for him to read to his daughter and I spent a little bit of time with his family when they came to visit, but soon rushed off as I found myself uncomfortable socializing while on the clock. When I left I snuck in a hug - not his thing- and a handshake- more his style- and a wish for luck, and he gave me his e-mail to keep in touch. I have work again tomorrow and I wonder how it's going to be...
