There better be air dodging, it's the most effective dodge IMO.

(although Zamus does look like she's in the air in the regular dodging screenshot).

oh my fucking jesus god christ

if there is any goodness left on this planet, the term "zamus" must never ever come into popular usage.

Dodges have been in SINCE THE ORIGINAL, so...

Also Fox's Smash looks cool, but hard to avoid! It seems a little cheap, but then again, Final Smashes are in a way so...

Actually, there was no dodging in SSB 64. It was only added in Melee.

Too late. That term is used often on SWF, the biggest online smash bros. community.

Oh noes! I'm gonna cry...

Yeah, the forums there are filled with little kids, but they usually have info before any other site, so I go there to read up. Plus have a regional tournament section that I used back when I would go to tourneys. You are right though...that place sucks.

...I think I lost a little respect for myself...

Yeah it's only good for the tournament boards. I have some friends that go to tournaments in the area and are pretty hardcore but I don't have the time for that shit. :<

I mostly find the site a total joke because you have to PAY MONEY TO USE AVATARS and it is so overloaded with ads it makes browsing annoying.

Since I can't say this using your newest post I will return to using this one since gw wouldnt let me post before.

If you bring/attempt to bring this term "Zamus" into GW I will start a personal vendetta against you and all who use that term

on a brighter note yay fox :D

What are you talking about? Zamus is great. Why would you take the time to spell out/say Zero Suit Samus when you could cut it down to Zamus? I love Zamus. Zamus, Zamus, Zamus. Seriously, what else would you call her? Maybe ZSS?

I think I'll main Zamus. Do you guys think Zamus will be playable without having to transform into her with Samus's FS?

Ignoring the annoying-ness-ness of that statement, do you actually think you'll be able to pick Zero Suit right away or if you'll have to use the FS to turn into her? Maybe it'll be like Sheik where you can hold A at the start of the fight to start off as her. Zero Suit looks like she'll be pretty good, but it'd be gay if you have to use the FS just to play as her.

Nope, sorry. The original had dodging. In fact I just played it again to make sure on P64, so...

Quote from: Wikipedia
The stages are three dimensional (although players cannot move with depth, save for a few types of dodges)

It had rolling, but it didn't have spot dodging or air dodging.

Wow, I'm retarded.
I totally missed the "while holding the shield button." part of that post.

I'm thinking "damn, all I gotta do is tap to the side a bit and I'll avoid all damage? Sounds cheap."

Yea, but obviously, I wouldn't really be much of a smash bros player if I didn't even know how to dodge, I guess.

ANYWAYS, I'm really hoping ZSS is only accessable after a smash, or like you said, holding the 'a' down at start of a match.
I just really think the game will lose SO much, if we have 2 types of marios, 2 types of links, 2 types of samus', and 1 type of donkey kong/any other character. I know it's a little late for the idea, but the game would be a lot cooler IMO, if it was only the main character from each game. There are SO many Nintendo games, yet we'll probly never see them, because we have the ever popular Luigi/Peach/Bowser/Yoshi/Wario/Dr. Mario.

Great news, Subspace Emissary will allow for co-op play. I suppose the gameplay seems to resemble Kirby Super Star for the Super Nintendo.

All I can say is, well, they did the right thing. I'm a bit relieved, actually. If they didn't add co-op into this I would have exploded with anger! But they did add it so everything is okay.

And looking back, this week had excellent updates. Here comes the weekend though. :'(

Looks a lot like Sonic and Tails, which is awesome imo. I just wish they would've like blocked the two players from separating, as opposed to the warp thing for player 2.

Yeah, they should push the sides of the screen like Toejam & Earl 2.

It's very Kirby Superstarish.

This game looks so awesome. Online play is the only thing that was missing in Melee, now it's just perfect.

If you have the game, wich controller type would you choose to play? I would play with the classic controller, I think it fits better this kind of game.

Classic controller would be the best choice in my opinion. I can't see how the wii mote and nunchuk would be accurate, so unless I just feel like screwing around, I'd stick to the classic. I like to win.

I would hate having to relearn how to actually play on the Wii mote, not to mention all those fancy techniques.

EDIT: Although, it might actually make wavedashing easier. If they have it so you have to move the Wii mote up to jump, and hold down like "Z" or something and move it to air dodge. Then you might can just do a little fast circular motion to wavedash.

Have you even played that game?  You could dodge and roll like crazy.

EDIT:
Just so we're clear:

dodge      [doj]
 verb, dodged, dodg·ing, noun
–verb (used with object)
1.   to elude or evade by a sudden shift of position or by strategy
