They might be.  They didn't drop anyone between the original and melee.  And there isn't any confirmation that anyone will be dropped from Melee to Brawl.  Not even Pichu is confirmed dead.

They did say something about not everyone making it back. I'm not sure if they were talking about clones only or just anyone in general. I'll try to find a source when I get back home. I have a midterm in a few minutes so I have to study right now.

Oh, don't start the whole clone-costume debate again.  Just be happy we have someone new to try out.

I'm doubtful that Pichu will make it back. Marth too. If either of the Melee FE characters will make it back, it'll be Roy, because Marth looks crazy (fag) similar to Ike.

Roy was there to promote FE. That game has already hit its peak sales and has dropped off since. Marth on the other hand was THE first FE Lord. He's an icon in the FE series. He'd have a much better chance at coming back than Roy.

Mario looks like Luigi. Luigi will end up coming back. Kirby looks like Jigglypuff. They're both still in the game. Pichu looked like Pikachu, but he was in Melee. Fox looked like Falco. He was in. Dr. Mario looked like Mario. He was in Melee. Marth looked like Roy. They were in Melee.

The look-a-like argument isn't that good or convincing. Besides, if the original 64 cast comes back, that means Ness will look exactly like Lucas, so a character like Marth shouldn't have trouble coming back even if he does resemble Ike.

On a side note, all the FE male characters look the same. The main ones anyways.

I liked doing Pichu's taunt where he would just lie down and have a seizure.

Mr. Game & Watch FTW, partly because he's just so awesomely akward in melee, but mainly because I think his bacon attack looks a little like sperm or "skeet", which was the popular term at the time.  "Skeet Skeet Skeet"

I like Ness, although not fighting with him... Lucas will probably replace him, though. Also Sarhan those are all clones, which Melee was full of, so... Bad argument kind of!

That may be, but there's still the fact that Mario and Luigi look similar. So do Jigglypuff and Kirby. And so will Ness and Lucas if they make it in to Brawl. The whole point I'm trying to make is that they're different characters, and just because they look the same doesn't mean they'll necessarily get the boot.
