There was a Suplex Kirby (or some such) in Superstar that did all sorts of throws.  I'm pretty sure Kirby is using a move from that moveset as his suplex move.

I noticed that also. They're probably back, unless that scene they showed with Snake was from the subspace emissary. Doubt it though. It looks like they're back and they're going to be better than before.
Unless it's something to do with the single player quest.

Looks like they're having a lot of fun with Snake in the game.  What a surreal moment to have him discussing Yoshi in combat.  Kind of like having Donald Duck talking to Aeris Gainsborough in Kingdom Hearts.

Snake looks a lot more fun, now! I hope those cinematics are making a return; those we a lot of fun.

I can't remember the character openings in the first Smash Bros.  Is there anything on YouTube or the such?

Um... I'm not sure. But it was like, Fox would fly in on his ship, C. Falcon would drive onto the stage, Mario and Luigi would come out of pipes, Pikachu and Jigglypuff would come out of pokeballs, etc.

I found something on YouTube.  I thought it was a little more elaborate from what you guys were saying.

There's a sense of nostalgia you get with those intros. They didn't have them in Melee and it made no sense, especially since they're not that tough to do. Brawl's character intros are going to be a lot more detailed judging from the clip of Snake (if indeed that is an intro).

Somewhat off-topic...I've heard rumors that they might be releasing SSB 64 on the VC a few weeks before Brawl comes out. They did it right before Metroid was released, so hopefully they'll do the same for Smash. It'd be nice to be able to play all three games on the same console.

My fingers are crossed and I really hope this actually happens.

Now THAT would be awesome.

I can't wait to play Snake. He seem so surreal and out of place in Brawl, but I think he'll begin to fit right in. He looks like a blast.

This has already been the best week of updates we've had in a long while, but I wouldn't be surprised if it got better.

:D!

:D

:o ...

This is a very strange update. I wonder why they didn't go ahead and make everything 3D? It seems somewhat out of place.

I do love Excitebike though.

I was really hoping excitebike would be an item, like Wario's bike.

Oh well, I just hope these 2-d trophies aren't just laziness. Half of the ones we've seen already are 2-d.

I think they're trying to keep the original look of each of the assist trophies. They're trying to keep them the same as they were in their games of origin. Personally, I like that they're doing that instead of making them 3D or more detailed.

I'm not too excited about the Excitebike assist trophy (I've never played Excitebike before) although it does look like a pretty good AT, but Lakitu is awesome. He's a classic Mario character and I'm surprised he hasn't made an appearance in Smash up until now. If he's as annoying as he was in Mario games, then he's going to be a useful AT. Hopefully he can't harm the user.

If that happened it would be treated like Metroid. On VC.

Anyways, updates are getting better. Keep 'em rolling...oh wait.

Uh.. well, Melee was a huge success and 99% of people who enjoyed SSB enjoyed SSBM, so.. uh.. I don't see what the point of your post is there. No one is even talking about Melee, Sarhan mentioned the original SSB but that's all.
