Still quite suprising they'd bring King triple D into the fray, I figured he'd be a Assist Trophy... its a shame though, wish they made Lyn a playable character... >_>

But they said that only three 3rd level representitives like Sonic and Snake were allowed in, I'm really curious who the last is gonna be...

Also anyone notice that the Halo 3 thread went and dropped? It shows that Smash Bros will dominate... (gonna laugh at my Halo 3 obessed roommate when Smash gets more sales then Halo 3.)

Hey buddy in 64 Bowser is huge? Also Kirby is a freaking 8 inches? And in Melee/Brawl he's at least 1/3 - 1/4 of Bowser's height? And Bowser is more than like 3 feet?

Also Krystal would be cool, I didn't even consider her. Now that I think about it, she'd be pretty cool. She's pretty original and another Star Fox character is always good.

Personally I think Ridley is a stupid idea and I don't understand why people would think he would be in or why they would want them in the first place.

I personally want Captain Olimar in, I think he'd play really well, they'd have a lot to work with. Kawasima would be really funny to be in, he could be Brawl's Game'n'Watch (a wtf character). I wouldn't want Krystal from Starfox, but any other of the other guys, like Falco (but not a clone!). King K. Rool would be pretty sweet in my opinion.

And nobody else thought of King DeDeDe? I've always thought he would make a good character to add and kind of just assumed he would be in it.

Indeed... I mean, Pikmin is going to show in Brawl one way or the other - no doubt. I don't think Olimar will be a playable character though, but rather an assist trophy. His size kind of... well... defeats any hope for him as a playable.

Ridley was like top 3 most requested character. Boss or not, he WILL be in.
I think people are forgetting that Smash Bros' theme is supposed to be that all the characters are toys. If you ask me, the trophies all look about the same size. Also, Ice Climbers were probably originally meant at normal-sized inuit people, but theyre munchkins in Smash Bros. Size doesn't matter.
One more thing, Kirby can suck up Dedede and take his power. That means Sakurai is willing to make changes to the characters from their original games, in sight of the bigger picture.

I'm assuming Olimar will be in too, I always thought of him has having a "waddle-dee" type pikmin move, throwing pikmin around. Since he and Ray 01 (Custom Robo) are main characters from two of the biggest unused franchises that Nintendo has, I'm really hoping they both make it. Sure, bringing back oldass video game characters is cool, and we all like the 3rd party characters, but I appreciate the "Nintendo AllStars" feel a lot.Krystal would be good too. As good as it is to have another girl character, I'd rather have one that isn't just female-fox.

Basically, anyone who doesn't think Ridley would be possible in the game is being unconsciously influenced in their logic because they simply don't want him in the game. Be objective people.

Since the RIdley thread is locked, I'll say it here:

Ridley is top 3 most requested character for the game, Sakurai wouldn't just say "nope. he's a boss."
Dedede is just as much of a hit or miss as Ridley, so I honestly am blown away by the fact that people doubt him being included.

Btw, I hate Metroid, and could give a shit less about Ridley. But the outcome here is painfully obvious.
