that gives me the imagery of some campy jungle music while barkley dripples his way across a wild, painted jungle. he like, does the under the leg dribble a lot too, so it isn't a fast progression.

Maybe I need to be American to appreciate the story in this game. Really. It felt rather boring and pointless to me, and the references to basketball and NBA players not really funny. It felt like something written by a 10 year old who thinks basketball players are gods, and an alternative reality where they do stuff like Nuke Dunks would be a cool thing to see. The whole serious tone it pertains and develops on...I don't know. I think you went overboard with it...if some huge giant joke was your goal.

Of course, you'll say I didn't get it. Oh, well.

Still, the presentation is very good, graphics very good and coherent (although not great), and the gameplay fun (but fairly unchallenging). I do appreciate the effort that was invested to deliver a game with so much content.

All in all, quite far away from my all time favorite amateur RPG: http://www.antiochforever.com/law/downloads.shtml

I just don't like Tales of Game's area of interests. Barkley Shut up, The Wu-Tang Clan and the Wu-Tang Baby, The Diary of Anne Frank (a platform game?!?).

Not only did you not get it, you kicked the topic, too!

I'm Dutch, 15, and I loved this game to death, so you don't need to be American to like this game.
Also, the entire idea of Tales Of Game's games is that they're screwed up.
That's just the way it should be.

I think the reason you saw the story as boring/immature/pointless is probably because you are looking at it as if it's a SUPER SERIOUS story. A serious rpg, etc.

The game is fucking brilliant, and to truly appreciate it you can't look at it as if it's a serious rpg that you bought from a store. Mind you, if this was on store shelves I'd buy it anyway.

There's nothing wrong with making comedy games, but you first need comedic talent to do so. Also, it helps if it doesn't look like someone vomited over a tablet whilst in paint to produce 99% of the graphics. But, whatever... :blarg:

I don't understand why people like this so much; but I didn't understand why people liked A Blurred Line either. :welp:

The humor of this game is that it has the one of the dumbest stories ever but they play it off like it's serious. I don't understand why this is so hard to follow.

Hell yeah, it's survival of the fittest man. You must have a messed up sense of humour to NOT get this game. This is a really good game, and the graphics are nice as well so I have no idea what Fallen_Griever is talking about.

Haha, I actually like quote this every now and then when relevant just to see people's reactions.

I've also showed this game to people who aren't into this game making scene or basketball and they find it hilarious, so I really don't get why people don't find this game funny.

I played this and it's really funny, loved the dialogue, I find it a bit harder to survive on my side though like not enough items x_x;;;

Maybe I'm missing something out or just plain bad at it haha
Also the savepoints talk a lot, I just want to save since I'm in a hurry but the savepoint takes forever to talk :<

Just thought I'd mention that this game has been nominated for Indie Game of the Year on Kotaku.  I may actually have to play this now to see what the big deal is.

Kotaku
Gaming World Mini City: Population, Industry, Transportation, Security Current rank 3950.
