Did you guys see the gameplay footage of Fallout 3? Yes it does have Bloody Mess Perk and loads of others available. You can stop time and target body parts of the enemy and each body part has a percentage chance next to it to hit. Heh, it also apparently has 100 hours of gameplay. I don't know if thats good or bad.
The Fable 2 Demo looked kinda crap though. "Here we have a young boy, and he grows up just like in the last game. Oh but I want to get to an important feature. *Fade to grow-up main character with a dog*. Ope, here's your dog, he's cool, he can fetch balls. Ok now heres the the important stuff. Co-Op. Look, I'm running in my world with someone else, but that's nothing. Lets go see my in-game wife. *Second player poses infront of wife* *+20 Funny added to wife and child*." Its like they added basic the Sims features or something. BTW, the time period changed in the game, and it looks pretty much like ye olde england. The characters both had swords on there backs and ye olde looking guns. They better have some fucking magic or something.
I have to agree at first I was sorta looking forward to Fable 2 but after seeing that demo... I dunno if I even care anymore. I mean so far in my opinion as far as the choice of Xbox360 openworld games go Fallout 3 is just literally stomping Fable 2, it just looks like it will be a much better game. One of the things I was afraid of (that Fallout 3 would have bad aiming because Bethy isn't use to making gun based games) isn't a problem and if it has an interesting dialogue system (my last worry) then I don't see any reason it won't be great. I'm actually glad that it's real-time because I like that style more than turn-based games and VATS looks pretty interesting as well and seems to be a great way to implement some of the turn-based elements into a real-time game. The weapon creation system looks pretty cool as well (lol at teddy bear launcher).
I mean as far as western style RPGs go I think Oblivion and the Fallout games are the only ones I've really liked (unless Deus Ex counts?) so if Fallout 3 ends up feeling like the old games then I'm happy but still even if it turns out to be just Oblivion with guns then I'm still happy. To tell you the truth I actually hope Fallout 3 turns out less just Fallout 2 with better graphic and more of a game with the best parts of Fallout and Oblivion combined to make one awesome new game experience.
Does Fable 2 look less linear??
I got bored with the first game about two hours in because it was just a straight line.
You know at first they had said that you could go off the roads and explore off the beaten path but I'm not really so sure if that was true now.
