My battle system just pushes 50 pictures, but 100 would be fine.
[insert something here]

Poke around in the Rm2k/3 downloads topic...theres a patch for 100 pics a little ways down that cherry posted...you just got to read. Youll need to reshack your rpg2003.exe and replace your RPT.exe or what ever its called......I cant recall at the moment.

OVERDRIVE!!!

The David and Goliath patches now have one extra feature.

120 Pictures!

To use, download the patch of your choice, then overwrite the previous one you have installed and then copy the rpg_rt.exe, and overwrite the one in your games project folder. After this you can use up to 120 pictures in rm2k3!

This patch is epic man, I remember the last one I got from you that let me edit the game while playtesting, and this obviously does so much more.

Thank you!
Remember, fellow programmers: it makes no difference if you have the greatest graphics or the most thought-provoking storyline. Heck, it doesn't even matter if people are intrigued enough to play your game or not (chances tend to slide towards the latter). What matters is that you find entertainment and joy in creating something that few people are capable of.

hey man my rpg_rt is a .dat file so i can't just copy and paste it. I tried copy and pasting it by the way and i deleted it too and just left your rpg_rt.exe but it was in vain.

What. It is in NO WAY possible for the rpg_rt.exe to be a .dat file. You can't even OPEN projects in rpgmaker if the executable isn't there.

EDIT:

ok ok, let me "n00b proof" it for you.

Um dude what the hell...
That "RPG_RT.EXE.DAT" file is a backup exe................

or whatever it is this time because the only filetypes I Can think for rm2k3 is .ldb, .exe or .lmt

I think rpg_rt.exe.dat is the file in the root of the rpg maker folder which is copied to new projects when they are created.
But the dat extension shouldn't be there in your project. Cut that part off.
Turn on filename extensions and just rename it to get rid of the ".dat"

No guarantees though, I am sleep deprived and don't have RPG Maker on here.

Edit: Actually, since you have filename extensions turned off, the actual RPG_RT executable file will probably show up as "RPG_RT", not "RPG_RT.exe"

Hey thanks bobberticus you been pretty helpful. What I did was rename 'Gutts' rpg_rt.exe as rpg_rt.exe.dat and just cut and paste. It worked as a charm.

You are a complete fool. The rpg_rt I included is the ENGINE FILE for the maker, and its been hacked to show 120 pictures. You are supposed to take that engine file, and put it in to your games folder and obviously, overwrite the one that already exists. There is no simpler explanation. There is no need to overwrite any .dat files and absolutely no need to rename my engine file to .dat

The last thing I want to do is insult someone in my own thread which is meant to help people, but moronic statements like yours bandito just tip the scales of patience I have.

1) copy rpg_rt from my zipfile

2) paste into your games folder.
(you DO have a game made already right?)

Just 2 simple steps bandito.

EDIT:

looking back, look at yourself bandito, you are proving yourself wrong. In my picture, I'm clearly showing you to replace the rpg_rt.exe in the PROJECT FOLDER, and yet in your picture, you are trying to replace the one in the RM2K3 folder.

Im sure Gutts you know, you could also extend the range of the amount of variables and characters and common events to include infinitely more, the only problem is that Terrain ID´s can´t exceed 9999.  Takes a while to open up certain dialogues.  I know not many people even use that many variables, but if you are getting into lists and arrays then alot of variables are needed depending on the game you plan on making, most people would just opt to use a different maker I´m sure when they get to this point - but I havent :)

No you are the fool because I already did everything you said in your post before I asked you...and I still had to do what I did, idiot

EDIT: Yes I am so stupid that I didn't think to replace my game rp_rt.exe and hacked the rpg maker engine to make it only work with rp_rt.exe.dat so that I could say your patch didn't work...yes I am so stupid durr... :fogetbackflip:

You are quite something bandito. Here I am, trying to help people, by making some useful tools to use with rpgmaker, and here you are with nothing better to do then come in my own help thread and try to pawn of cheap insults at me, while you yourself use my tools.
