Yeah i'd really appreciate it if you change that and if you ask me it would be best to change all aray sizes that means the variable, switch etc. and all. And hero atck and defs etc to 9999 would also be cool.

Even a very large RPG game would never use more then 5000 switches or variables. Personally I've gone to 2000 switches and 1500 variables, and my game was HUGE (about 20 hours long) and expansive and still I didn't even go past 2000.

Yeah hopefully your right. but the game im going for is very large. About the size of Final Fantasy 10 plus i think i'll be giving a new game plus option as well so. I cant tell but your probably right i cant use all 5000. But i would love the change 9999999 on all other array sizes and the hero stats 9999. Like i said earlier. Simply cool.

Please just do one last touch and it will be good to go. increase the animations array to 999999. Cuz if you have a move and your animating a monster and using that move for 100 monsters than only this uses up 100 animations. So with 9999 you can make 100 animations which arn't omnislash like 1 animation and damage.

With 999999
You can do a 20 hit animation or so.

Show battle animation Omnislash hit 1 Enemy 1
Damage Calculation and damage

Show battle animation Omnislash hit 2 Enemy 1
Damage Calculation and damage

Show battle animation Omnislash hit 3 Enemy 1
Damage Calculation and damage

Since its 20 different animations if you do that for 100 enemies then thats 20x100=2000 animations! Just for omnislash.

Thats why can you please increse it not to 99999 but to 6 nines 999999

No. Learn to code properly. Using 20 different animations just for 1 attack is pretty stupid no matter what you say. And if you really want to do it, use another maker, I suggest RMXP, you'll be able to do what you want with very minimalistic coding.

Okay i know im being stupid here maybe. And i know i have been asking for too much but just one change from a 9999 to a 999999 can change a lot of things. Plus the 20 hit animation will look very cool. I could have used one animation for let's say 4 hit within the omnislash but actually omnislash was only an example. I actually wished to include a limit break or something which would be DBZ like. You hit an enemy with an Upper. The enemy flies upward leaving his position and you follow up with a combo. Trust me. Its not bad. Plus this will open a new window in RPG Maker 2k3 that is enemy animation. Something not seen since RPG Maker 2k3's interface and even if seen, its been seen with complexity like backdrops etc. This isn't complex. you just copy and paste the same move and replace the enemy hurt animation in its animation png replaced with the same move's png but having another enemy's hurt animation. Its really cool trust me. Changing one number 9999 to 999999 can change Rm2k3.

I'd love to use this but the minimum resolution is just too big for me Dx If possible, could you make a 1024x768 one?

This isn't something I would need or use, because I'm not into making 2000 hour RPGs. Also, I'm using a brand new LCD widescreen monitor, but my max rez is 1440 x 900. RPG Advocate did a 1024 patch for RM2K that I use, it does a lot of things your patch does like lengthen the event command windows, but just a little more monitor-friendly. I agree with a lot of people that the resolution has to come down a little bit before this can be more universal. But let me just say that I'm very impressed with the fact that you were able to do this, especially in regards to the FF8 experience system you were able to incorporate. That's quite a change. Now if you could just figure out a way to fix the issues that really plague RPG2003, that would be great, such as increase the limit of 8 cells in an animation frame.

Hardly. Neok used this in his sequel to Alter Aila, whatever that tech demo was called. Say you have an attack where your hero cuts the enemy 20 times with a sword, each slash is a different animation so that you can have 20 counts of damage instead of one big one. I think it looks a lot cooler, to be honest. Much more work, but definitely worth it in hte end.

If you are creative and think outside the box, you can do a lot of things.

This is from my old game from way back when.

Add a lower resolution version

I second this motion and move for the counsel to vote.

I'd switch to this in a jiffy if it wouldn't make it more difficult to simply use the editor. There are a ton of people here with average-or-smaller monitors, and I'm sure most of them would like it if this patch were made more universally accessible.

And while we're on the topic of "Miek bitching at Gutts for stuff," could you give me a hint on how to manage those multi-hit attacks with fewer animations? I think I might have an idea, but it's almost certainly dead wrong.

Damn. So many people with low resolutions... The fact why this patch is so huge is pretty much the reason this is called GOLIATH.

But I will take some time out and make a smaller version of the same thing. (same features as this but smaller) How does 1024x768 sit with everyone?
