So this is quite possibly one of the most fucked up things that's happened around me this year.

I've kinda "known" this guy ever since I started dating my girlfriend.  He lived in the same house as my girlfriend's family for a long time and sold drugs out of her little brother's room.  I was never really friends with the guy, but I sorta hung out with him by default for maybe six months before my girlfriend and I moved out to our first apartment together.  He always seemed like a decent fellow, albeit sort of strange borderline creepy.  He always played a lot of DnD, smoked a lot of pot, never had a job, and hobbled around with a weird little gait because he tried to kill himself by jumping from a fire tower and had to have his ankles removed.

Oh, and on Halloween he tried to rape the wife of one of my friends.

The story so far is that my friend and his wife were at a bar seeing a local band play and got really drunk.  My friend passed out in the living room of their place while his wife made a bed for them.  The rapist ankle hobbler just so happened to be staying at their place as well because he's always been in their little circle of friends and always needs a place to stay.  While my friend's wife was making the bed, this guy shambles into the room, grabs her by the neck and proceeds to try to rape her. 

She managed to grab her purse from the other side of the bed as he sat on top of her and STABBED HIM REPEATEDLY IN THE FACE WITH A PEN.  He rolled off of her and she ran into the living room to get her unconscious husband, who proceeded to enter the bedroom and MERCILESSLY BEAT HIM WITH GIANT FISTS.

The red wound on his forehead is from the pen, everything else is from my friend's righteous fists of justice.

So yeah, what's fucked up is that they arrested my friend and his wife as well.  Apparently fighting off a would-be rapist with a pen is a crime!

What's even more fucked up is the guy admitted to it and told the cops he only did it because he heard she was sleeping around and she liked it rough and he wanted a piece for himself.

This is fucking weird guys....

Fuck man.  Thats fucked.

What. Why the hell were they arrested? Whaat.

All three of them were charged with domestic assault.  The rapist guy was also charged with simple possession of a controlled substance.

Last I heard she was doing alright.  I haven't had the chance to speak to her personally but my girlfriend did and she wants to borrow my SNES copy of Super Mario All-Stars.  I hope it'll help her keep her mind off of the situation she was in!

I don't understand the arrest either, is this still being investigated? The charges might just be there because that's the most obvious way to describe what happened without hearing the story

Well, they'll have to go to court and everything so he might be facing attempted rape charges and whatnot.  I don't really know.  I mean, this shit happened on Halloween and I didn't even hear about it until today.

I do know that the rapist dude's mom pressured his older sister into bailing him out of jail even though she didn't want to.

He's just a little lady man.  I mean, he's been doing nothing but sitting around in someone else's house playing video games for the last like, 6 years.  The husband is average white male size I guess.
