Well i changed it to hopefully not look as much as it does to the game as people said. I used the same chipset, however i re-coloured it with photoshop. I also used a different character set to hopefully move away from his game :)​. I also used PS to edit that.



Better or no? :)

Some chracters that I have been working on! They're for another old-school game that is sort of loosely based off of Ultima and those type of games. It will still be Dragon Warrior-like, though.

I beg to differ. Forests in the real world are not at all boring and bland. Boring perhaps, but certainly not bland.

And with a lovely dame attached to your arm, I assure you it is not boring either.

I do agree however that the shot looks a lot better here. The grass looks healthier this way.

Eventually the monsters will all be custom (as will the Romancing Walker-esque animations) and not boring bats/vampires, but that takes time that Karsuman currently doesn't have! So yeah, we're using some random monster graphics for an Arian Wild battle demo to be released in the RMN IRC channel tomorrowish.

The orange bar is your Threat - it determines how likely you are to be targeted by an attack.

Once Karsu decides on Arian's design, I'll edit his sprite - that's just a placeholder one for now.

after countless designs I've finally found a look that I like for the very beginning of the game. the idea was to be a sleek, cool futuristic city. the problem was I kept trying to go for a realistic and practical approach and even looked at things I could find off of google. but everything kept looking wrong. so I sat down and just started drawing, and the results were a more abstract and surreal cityscape than previously envisioned and I was like "kewl dawg.".

seriously I need to get cracking down on the beginning of the game! I have so much done but nothing playable. and after over a years worth of work!


Ephiam that looks sweet, the colorz remind me of an old dos game.

Welcome to a new kind of nightmare unlike any other you may have witnessed in 2D before. This time I bring you some new footage from the mansion location. Yeah, those sets are entirely made by me. I'm already working since 3 years on this game.


This custom titlescreen entirely replaces the normal one from the maker and is also capable of changing its background randomly. You also hear some ambience from the shown location.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with me and my project, I'm german so this is explains the foreign language in some of my screens. But expect a quick translation right after the newest release. The last demo is 2 years old so a lot of stuff changed! Luckily most of my graphics are kept in English so you may play it without paying any attention to the story.
