I'm not really sure why I'm posting this. SE has been dead for me ever since KH was released. Most of their games have been weird FF spin-off's or remakes and the likes and great franchises are DEAD. I hate what they did to my precious Mana.

My opinion? Fucking sucks. First seconds were a cheap attempt to look like FF7? Then IDK. It a huge cutscene with few seconds of the battle system which looks like a FF12/KH blend. The character design is well... meh. Dude in white trenchcoat looks like Seifer/Cid, the one with macihne gun like Wakka, main female character like Squall. :/

i kind of hate the fact i'll probably die before this series is over.

and i dont mean that as a cancer thing, i seriously think if we live to be 90 they'll still be pumping out a final fantasy. which then brings up the question of has anything with a supposed continuity lasted a lifetime? how long have some soap operas been on?

edit lolled pretty hard when they tried to make it all scifi and then it cuts to generic final fantasy designs shooting out bolt 3s and fighting dire wolves in an ice level ONLY

Looks god damn awful. Why is every single thing Square Enix does these days about ridiculous "badassery" like slow motion leaps through the air while firing guns upside down? It's so fucking animu and it's been done a billion times before but they just. keep. doing. it. I know the graphics were vastly more limited in earlier SNES and PSX Final Fantasy games, but I don't ever remember this sort of shit in those.

Somewhere along the way they lost their ability to design characters too, with every fucking game they make it gets worse. But they've essentially admited this too, in a round about way. Everything they do these days is purely designed to sell, sell sell, and I remember an article about some SE exec saying outright that "original" titles like The World Ends With You (which I didn't even think was good) aren't worth the risk. Hence why all you fucking see from them are Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts spinoffs and sequels with the same boring as fuck and derivitive as hell characters.
