if the previous episodes were even closely as good as the newest the series would propably have gotten a lot more views and a guaranteed second season. Too much useless shit at the start screwed up the series.

I bet they will answer it actually, probably in the last few eps though. like the whole THERE IS A VASE thing will happen unexpectedly. it's really cool that he threw that in there because like one goon noticed it and they were all like OH FUCK and now I guess its a big spoiler but still neat.

also as further evidence

god I am shaking my head though in disbelief, that kind of stupid tv trick is the kind of thing I pride myself on catching and being like hell yes you're smart and I missed it entirely.

Well, I really enjoyed this "finale" and Dollhouse as a whole. Yes, there were some weak episodes early on but once the story got rolling I was all in for the ride. I want to see this show go on and explore further questions about self and morality, but I'm going to assume that it's over just so that I don't get my hopes up and then have them dashed.

Too bad. I liked Alpha as a villain. 48 personalities and a face cutting killer as a background.

Damn it. This show better get a second season at least to bring it all to a conclusion. or... maybe a movie like Firefly got... Just something to end it right.

yeah the conclusion to the series was really weak but i still kind of have some unreasonable hope for it and I do kind of hope it gets a second season anyway, because the last few aside from the 12th episode were pretty decent overall in my opinion and i'd really like to see this show actually get a grip and take off

I very much doubt there will be a second season, seemed like the first one struggled just to get 12 episodes.
I didn’t think the final episode was too bad, there was allot to wrap up and I think Joss Whedon tried to conclude as much as he could within 42mins.
I liked the fact the doctor was a doll but I kind of ruined that for myself when I accidentally read Artis Leon Ivey Jr spoiler, silly me... I didn’t like the fact that the FBI agent decided to join them in the end, it seemed out of place considering he tried so hard throughout the show to stop them and from what I could tell despised them greatly.

I think that Ballard working with the Dollhouse makes sense actually. I don't think that he's done a complete 180 on his thoughts. Rather, he sees this as an opportunity to work closely with his enemy and to gather more info. All this time he's been wanting to save Caroline. Saving Mellie instead fulfilled that for him, but I think he's still truly vested in looking over Echo. He can do that now that he's in with the Dollhouse. His position is much like Boyd's earlier in the season - he too questioned the ethical implications of what they were doing, but eventually came to see the good/nobility in their actions, however few. He's still in a grey zone, and I think that's where Ballard will be heading in Season 2 if it gets renewed.

Some news about that actually:
Quote from:  From The Hollywood Reporter
Sources say Dollhouse fans shouldn't lose hope; that despite the show's recent ratings, the show is still alive. Whedon pitched the network on his vision for season two late last week. Discussions have commenced between Fox and the studio about how to make the show work financially.
Hopefully we'll know one way or another soon.

EDIT: I hereby make my 12,000th post on Dollhouse.  :thumbsupbuddy:

The 12k must have done the trick because word on the street (ok, online) is that Dollhouse has been renewed for a second season:woop:

way to jump the gun mateui.  There is still no official confirmation (unless you can find me one, because I couldn't).   All the reports that I've read about this say that FOX is saying that they're willing to keep dollhouse assuming some major budget cuts.   there is nothing, I repeat, nothing about it being officially confirmed about being back in the next season of television yet (and probably won't until monday)

isn't this show absolutely terrible? i don't think i've ever enjoyed a single joss whedon television show. the only good thing he ever did was write toy story imo

i mean really? buffy the vampire slayer was like B-GRADE TELEVISION shit. shit you find on at 3:00pm on weekdays. firefly was apparently absolute garbage, as is angel.

*casts unbelievably attractive woman in lead role, is feminist writer*

why are you guys excited!!!
