Yeah, that would be awesome. He doesn't even need to scrap it. Really, all he has to do is advance the plot quickly and then jump ahead a few years and explore that scenario while slowly uncovering the past that brought the apocalypse about.

Agreed, that was the 13th episode I mentioned or maybe it was the original pilot err what ever.

no epitaph one is the one that is set in the future with the the post-apocolyptic setting and doesn't suck.   Like i've just been trying to like this series so much but it really has clicked and after seeing epitaph one, I realize that it just could be so much better than it is now, but we're just stuck in this dumb kind of monster of the week mediocre universe that is frankly not the most interesting thing in the world at all.

i'm not sure if i am.  I mean I am okay with it still being on but based on the quality of the show compared to the normal standards of television, I'm pretty sure it really didn't deserve to stay on, (not in terms of amount of people watching it, but based on the merit of the actual quality of the show itself).  I'm just really hoping that this season redeems itself because it just seems like this show is only being watched by people because of Weddon, and like if there wasn't Weddon attached to it, I know at least that I wouldn't be watching it anymore. 

That last episode was dumb. It was a dumb set up we saw a couple of times before, some horrible writing, especially on the part of that girl who can't act talking to the agent.. and pretty much I don't think anyone could really give a fuck what was going on with the characters at all. All that sob shit, trying to make the audience question the nature of the whole dollhouse business in the dumbest way possible.

Yeah, I agree that that episode wasn't very strong, but on the up side we did finally find out what happens to an active once their contract is up - a life of luxury and for November, the lack of sadness about the loss of her child. Very chilling. We also finally know what Paul's intentions are, as well as Echo's. Also, I think that this episode was Eliza's best portrayal of a character. She really stepped it up I felt.

no i'm pretty sure you are right  which is pretty much why epitaph one was such a great episode (or at least one of the reasons)

seriously, I don't care if this is regarded and cult television, or whatever the hell joss wheddon shows are classified as these days, but in terms of quality, this show should have been canned before the first season even ended.  unless there is like something major happening in the near future i don't see this show getting a second season, and I really hope it doesn't if it is just going to be more of the same like this, because it really has done nothing to deserve it, other than having been created by Joss

This is very true. There's just something inherently unbelievable about her. I guess the fact is that she's a horrible actress. Nearly all others in the show are pretty damn good though. So it sort of sucks that the worst one has to be the main character.

Unfortunately I have to agree. As much as I like Eliza she's just not a great actress. Sierra and Victor on the other hand are amazing. This last episode that had zero Ballard and minimal Echo was amazing as it let the rest of the cast shine and it got the ball further rolling towards Epitaph One. A storm is coming, Topher's morality was compromised, and Sierra and Victor's relationship was solidified. I wonder what causes them to fall away from each other in the upcoming future?
