This game got me into indie gaming, like I think is true with a lot of people.

I love it.

I finally finished the game (although I haven't seen all the secrets) and I have to say I'm sorry I waited so long before playing it. It's really a brilliant game in a lot of ways. It trolls you at times, leading you to fall into traditional gamer habits, only to not reward you. It is genuinely, unironically good and cool at other times. The plot is comedic, yes, but it keeps an air of seriousness that makes all the punchlines hit that much harder. And the gameplay is full of fun little gimmicks as well. Very impressive, I can't wait for chapter 2 in the Hoopz saga.

I tried the game (now that my comp is good enough to run it) and I couldn't stand it in the catacombs... so I gave up. I honestly had high hopes that this game would live up to the hype, but sadly it did not.

The catacomb is the worst level in the game but trust me it gets a lot better after that.

the catacombs really are the worst level, as that was taken nearly 1 to 1 from the original RM version of the game which was pretty unpolished.

I actually liked the catacombs, I guess because it was the first actual "dungeon" in the game. But I just liked running around there fighting baddies, looking for hidden items, and reading the tombs.

I just couldn't get into it. At all. I think this game will be fun to some people looking for a laid back kind of game, though. I don't understand what is so great about it.

better than 100% of all amateur games

Well, I wouldn't say that...

I mean sure, it's definitely a great game... but there are bound to be better out there. Maybe not specifically on this site, but there
are better out there.

that's because you're a dummy

seriously though, I was actually exaggerating a bit but now that I think about it, name a single game that has been more popular or been better critically recieved.

Let me ask you this first...

Have you seen/played 100% of the amateur games?

Also, how am I a "dummy" for bringing things to a more realistic standpoint?
