Address Line 2 isn't for your apartment number, that goes in Address Line 1. Address Line 2 is for PO Boxes and c/os, although a lot of places ignore that anyway. It's pretty much useless.

You stand facing North. In front of you is the edge of a deep forest. Bird calls can be faintly heard, emanating from deep within. What is your command?
>> Look South
You see behind you a great green field, ringed by a high fence of barbed metal. It is impossible to climb. What is your command?
>> Climb fence
You try to grip the fence, but the metal sharp metal barbs bite into your hand. You have no choice to let go before they break skin. What is your command?
>> Enter forest
You enter the forest. After a few steps, you notice a strange noise, as if the forest were shifting around you. What is your command?
>> Look South
You see more trees behind you. There is no sign of the field or the fence. Thick foliage blocks the ground where the path stood moments ago. What is your command?
>> Traipse through forest
I do not understand "Traipse". What is your command?
>> Walk through forest
In which direction?
>> South
You try to walk through the forest, but the dense foliage proves to be too thick. Branches block your way, and vines grab at your neck and shoulders. Dejected, you return to where you stood a moment ago. What is your command?
>> Look North
To the North is a narrow path that leads deeper into the forest. Dappled sunlight filters through the high canopy, casting shadows everywhere. What is your command?
>> Walk North
You continue North along the path for a few minutes, until you eventually reach a small pond. The path continues North past the pond. What is your command?
>> Check pond
You peer into the pond. The water is shallow and clear, gently rippling as a small brook feeds into it. Just below the surface, you spot something a round object glinting gently in the dancing light. What is your command?
>> Get object
You reach into the pond and grab the shimmering object. It is a coin, partially covered in slime. You wipe the slime from the coin and it find its surface quite reflective underneath. You put it in your pocket. The pond is now empty. What is your command?
>> Walk North
You walk North, keeping on the path. After fifteen minutes, you the path splits off to the East. What is your command?
>> Look North
The path to the North seems to give out after a few steps. The canopy is thicker overhead here, and the low light makes it hard to see what is up ahead. What is your command?
>> Look East
The path to the East widens slightly. In the distance you can make out an outcropping of rocks. What is your command?
>> Walk East
You follow the path East until you reach the outcropping of rocks. They rise a few metres above the forest ground, and are devoid of large trees. What is your command?
>> Climb rocks
You climb to the top of the rocks. You are above the thick foliage covering the forest floor and are afforded an excellent view. What is your command?
>> Look West
To the West you can make out the split in the road. Beyond that lies only deep forest and thick trees. You still stand atop the rocks. What is your command?
>> Look South
You can just see the path you followed here fading into the distance. Eventually, your view is obscured by thick vines. You still stand atop the rocks. What is your command?
>> Look North
To the North you can barely make out what looks like a dip in the forest. The tops of smaller trees are visible. You think you may hear running water. You stand atop the rocks. What is your command?
>> Listen carefully
To what?
>> Listen carefully North
You take a deep breath, close your eyes and focus on the sounds of the forest. You can now clearly make out the sound of rushing water, coming from the North. Bird calls surround you. You can hear something coming from the East, but it's impossible to make out. What is your command?
>> Look East
To the East you can make out the silhouette of what appears to be a man-made structure. It is some distance off, but some of the edges can be seen through the trees. You still stand atop the rocks. What is your command?
>> Walk East
You take a few steps, but find yourself stopped by the edge of the rocks. What is your command?
>> Climb down
You climb back onto the path. What is your command?
>> Walk East
You walk East for the better part of an hour, until you come to a small stream crossed by a wooden bridge. Standing before the bridge is a small, bent man holding a staff to keep himself partially upright. What is your command?
>> Look at man
The man is visibly weather-beaten and clearly quite old. He has scraggly white hair and a scraggly white beard. He has not seen you. What is your command?
>> Talk to man
You call out to the man, but he seems to not hear you. You are still quite far away. What is your command?
>> Walk up to man
You walk over to the man. He looks up, grumbles to himself, and looks back at the ground. What is your command?
>> Talk to man
The old man ignores you completely. What is your command?
>> Cross bridge
You cross the bridge without incident. What is your command?
>> Walk East
You continue East along the path. As you do so, a strange sound seems to be getting louder and louder. As it does, you begin to notice a pattern. What is your command?
>> Listen to sound
You stop and concentrate, trying to block out the sounds of the forest. Eventually, the sound becomes more clear to you. It is an instrument of some kind, and the same song or notes are being played over and over again. What is your command?
>> Walk East
The sound becomes louder and louder as you continue along the path. Suddenly, the ground gives way at your feet. You stumble, but manage to stop moments before a large hole opens in the path. What is your command?
>> Look in hole
You look into the hole. At the bottom are a set of nasty looking wooden stakes. It is about two feet wide. What is your command?
>> Look around
Around you is deep forest. A hole blocks the path in front of you. The forest is too thick to skirt around the hole. Vines dangle everywhere. What is your command?
>> Pull on vine
You pull on a vine, and it tears from its stem, falling limply to the ground. What is your command?
>> Jump hole
You leap over the hole and land without problem on the other side. What is your command?
>> Walk East
The sound has become very clear now. It is a guitar, playing a tune you don't recognize. Although it is playing the same song over and over, each time it is varied slightly. You can barely make out voices as you move farther East. The path continues on East, although it looks like a smaller path has opened to the South. What is your command?
>> Walk East
The guitar sound stops as you move further East, as do the voices. You eventually enter a small clearing, squinting as the sunlight penetrates the thinning canopy. A guitar sits, resting up against a tall rock. Recent footprints are evident on the dirt floor of the clearing. There are two paths leading East, one North East, one South East. What is your command?
>> Get guitar
You walk over and take the guitar, playing a few notes. It's in tune. You sling it over your back by its strap. What is your command?
>> Look North East
The path to the North East is well-worn. You can make out a structure in the distance. What is your command?
>> Look South East
The path to the South East seems disused. You can make out a small structure with what appears to be smoke rising from its roof. What is your command?
>> Walk North East
You walk along the North East path until you come close to the structure. It is larger than you thought, and looms over you. A gate bars access to the courtyard beyond. The path seems to continue due North along the wall of the structure. What is your command?
>> Look gate
The gate is sturdy, and it seems locked. You doubt you could move it. To the right, affixed to the wall, is a small metal box with a slot on top. What is your command?
>> Look courtyard
In the courtyard beyond the gate rests a pillar dais with a large gemstone of some kind sitting atop it. It is otherwise empty. What is your command?
>> Put coin in slot
You drop the coin into the slot. It's a perfect fit. It clinks gently into the box. You hear a faint whirring sound. Suddenly, the gate roars to live, sliding upward. The way is clear. What is your command?
>> Enter courtyard
You walk into the courtyard, which seems empty. A gemstone on a raised pillar lies just outside your reach. What is your command?
>> Take gemstone
You approach the gemstone, but as you do the pillar vanishes, along with the gemstone! The gate behind you slams shut and locks with a loud "click". Panels in the walls of the courtyard slide open, revealing men and women behind each. They are hunched and foaming at the mouth. They have a wild look in their eyes. They approach you from all sides. What is your command?
>> Walk East
You cannot walk East, the way is blocked by a group of crazed-looking people. What is your command?
>> Walk West
The way West is blocked by a sturdy gate. You try to open it, but it doesn't budge. As you struggle furiously with the gate, the pack of wild men and women rush you, grabbing at your limbs and biting at your exposed skin. In a few moments, they have wrestled you to the ground and begun to pound on you with their fists. Darkness takes a hold as you begin to lose consciousness. In a few moments, you close your eyes. You will never open them again.

You have died. Would you like to play again?

Why can't we just have a simple mainsite that highlights shit from the forum, and leave it as simple as that? Songs, threads with cool drawings them, interesting things of artistic or gaming related things. That way, people don't have to slog through the countless couchfiend topics to get to interesting things, and people who rarely go outside of one branch of the forums can just check the mainsite to see if someone has started an art thread worth looking at or a thread about an album release?

That way the site is 100% community-centric but doesn't rely on people HAPPENING to stumble across good threads. People from both inside and outside the community can check out the best threads/games/arts/musics/pictures of moms. People outside the community will go "hmm this is an interesting album I'll sign up to post comments" and people from inside the community will have no trouble finding topics from forums they don't frequent/are too lazy and stupid to find on their own.

The forum stays intact, the community stays intact, and people can get some more feedback on their shit.

It's not like it's hard to sign up for GW, if outsiders find a link to something they like, they'll sign up to comment on it. And so long as we're not DOUCHECLOCKS about it they will stick around.

lol is being stabbed on the bus really a "serious concern" for you?
i thought i was paranoid... :welp:

Haha, naw, the subway.

I'm not really worried about getting stabbed (that was part wasn't serious) but I am constantly watching for trouble brewing, which it does frequently enough that the energy I spend on it (mild vigilance) is justified. I am less worried about being jumped than I am about somebody near me being harassed. I like to see that shit coming so I can decide if I'll intervene or not. There are also lots of insane people who want to yell at you, so I like to be aware of who they are and avoid them as needed.

when you're riding the rails every day you see some things, man....

I work in retail and I try to read every person as well as I can for a few reasons:

a) I have to determine how crazy they are
b) I have to determine what kind of crazy they are

are the biggest, but there are others. Trying to decide how much they are willing to spend is pretty low on that list (surprisingly, for a salesman) because I'd rather seem like a friendly helpful person than be good at selling things to people. Mostly I just have to try to determine as quickly as possible if they are going to have a batshit crazy response to something. Also, riding a busy transit system every day means I have to try and read people based on visual cues so that I can avoid people stabbing me and whatever. It's a serious concern of mine.

If I could read minds yes, I would, but only the minds of strangers who I have no interest in interacting with for more than a few minutes. Anything past that and I'd rather genuinely get to know someone via conversation OR WHATEVER.

@Blue: That's a really cool idea, but I'd suggest moving the doorway away from the edge of the building so you can frame it a bit better.

I think these topics are more aimed at "anything I can do that sucks but doesn't require a load of time to make money?". There are lots of things that are a) shitty work that pay well because nobody wants to do it or b) pay slightly better than other means of getting cash but are so horrid you only could ever do it on the side for a few hours a week before you went insane

These are probably the types of things that people are looking for, not "smoke weed all day 4/20" and/or "just steal something"

p.s. dietcoke I have a feeling you are an unemployable bum

Did you know that they angle the lines leading to slaughterhouses so that cows are not as nervous when they are led to their doom? That is a true story! Also, plus then we eat them and use their skin for things. I'm not saying it's GOOD but it is a lot better than THROWING PUPPIES TO DEATH.

Most corporations are forced to hire animal psychologists to make the animals feel happy before they are killed. Also, have you ever met a chicken? Those things are dumb as hell. I do feel bad for cows, though. Cows are smart.

edit: not defending the meat industry but wow lets not turn this thread about some fucked up child killing animals into a meat industry debacle (playing devil's advocate!)

I don't know what you expect man, sometimes the network goes down for awhile. It's not really ridiculous, I am pretty sure Cox Cable didn't want a million pissed off idiots calling to complain they couldn't look at baseball scores online!

One time I got a call from a number that was, like, one number different than mine

I called it back and a very embarrassed sounding girl on the other end explained she had dialed the wrong number (I am guessing she was dialing her own number to access her voicemail and dialed mine by mistake!), but it was still confusing getting a call from ALMOST my exact number. I did a double take!

When I got my cell a few years ago people kept calling asking for Amy. Like, at least five different voices. I didn't have anyone's number in my phone back then so I kept answering to see if it was someone I knew, but it was always someone asking for Amy. I'd get one or two calls a day sometimes! It was sort of annoying, but eventually I explained to each person who called that this wasn't Amy's number any more, and they all understood and stopped calling.

Also I have received texts from people who were like "come outside" using numbers I had never seen before. It was always just a friend who's number I didn't have/had a different number for in my phone. I am pretty sure nobody is going to text me to say "ARE YOU AT HOME?" if they didn't know me. CALL THE PHONE POLICE

I really like this a lot, especially the instrumental parts. I do like your voice, but I feel it doesn't sync up well with the instruments in some songs (Body Parts) to really match the high bar set by them. I would like to hear an all instrumental (like synths) album from you, I think it would be something I'd listen to on repeat for a long time!

edit: some songs the voice matches up better (falling out of a body) which is why I can tell the difference in the first place! I am still listening it is a good album.
