back in May I planted a rain garden (greenified term meaning a planted area that helps mitigate stormwater) on my parents' property. I had thought about making a topic comparing the experience to sim games, how I started with a budget to pick the best plants for the job, prepared the soil, planted them, watched as they grew and flowered and got populated by flies and bees and slowly soaked up the excess water from the undesired places. it was pretty neat honestly, and this coming from a person who had previously kinda hated the idea of gardening as it is typically represented in America, all these perfectly-arranged ugly non-native annuals next to ugly, shaped shrubs in an ugly dyed mulch pit. but this was neat.
welp apparently a couple nights ago someone plowed their car straight through the garden (which sits between two clumps of trees, in a channel that runs perpendicular to the road), backed back over it, plowed through the milkweeds I was planning to transplant later to get out because they couldn't get back up the slope to the road, and drove off. that never happened in rollercoaster tycoon
edit I haven't seen it so I dunno how bad it is, but my mom said all but "maybe" the grasses are absolutely dead
